    RE Test Waroona help

    Hey all,
I am not sure what the best thread is for this post but I am wondering if anyone has completed a motorbike test in Dowerin.. now changed to Waroona?
It had tests available when I am home (bloody FIFO).
So just wanted to see if the test people were hard out there or any recommendations/tips, or even where to get in contact with someone who would be able to help me!

You shouldn't be concerned with whether the testers are harsh, and more with your own riding ability.

What sorta help do you need?

ive done tests in toodyay & northam but never dowerin.. they usually follow you in a car

as long as you ride well & don't break any road rules it will be easy, dowerin would be fun to ride back from after getting a license.. my instructor / shadow made me do the speed limit all the way from midland to northam for my R test, when i passed i told him i would meet him in mundaring & i was gone lol

I just wanted to know what their process was like such as left hand o turns like they do in Rockingham. Mainly if there were any quirks to be aware of.

Hillz- i actually went out there last weekend. So beautiful!

Tests are pretty standard everywhere so the local cop or assessor will check all of these wherever you go.
    From their site: https://www.transport.wa.gov.au/lice...assessment.asp

    Flow
How well you combine driving skills together.
Whether you keep an eye on what's happening behind you by using your rear view mirrors and checking blind spots.
Movement- Whether you move smoothly when you ride the bike forwards.
Whether you pick the best track and stay on track.
Responsiveness- Whether you are aware of the hazards around you and respond to them appropriately.
Signal- Whether you let other road users know what you intend to do.
Vehicle management- Whether you do thing like keep an eye on your vehicle's instruments while you are driving, use the steering wheel/handlebars correctly and use the clutch and gearbox effectively.

This may include testing your ability to:

Balance the vehicle at low speeds by riding around a figure 'O' without putting a foot on the ground.
Correctly park and start on a hill.
Perform a quick stop under full control without locking either wheel.
    Must wear appropriate safety gear.

If you can't do the skills, you need more lessons as you don't want to learn by having an accident.

Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: "Wahoo!! What a ride!"

Two of my mates did their test in Rockingham and both had to do o turns in both directions.
GsxInShed - just trying to get all the information. Some people struggle in tests in general - sorry for not being perfect.

Well.... I'm sorry I triggered your defences. If you must ...My name is Greg..I don't hide behind my pseudonym. Nice to meet you.

Riding isn't about the test results. It's about you being able to ride ...or not. From what I hear old cunts like me would struggle with the test.I think otherwise.

Seems Sandra ( Stoneville ) does an a great deal to help new riders develop a level of rider craft that ,hopefully prevents them being killed on the way home from "Passing the Test"

Information is the key to stay on top of any new venture.. good luck.

Sandra is great, went for a ride with her the other night.
    Thanks for your well wishes!

If you are a competent rider you will be fine. If you are not ready you're not ready. Why worry?

Can you change gears while doing a wheelie?

When my friend went for her license she was very competent but was given a choice. She could either fail and try next week, or pass and lose points and pay the fine for speeding.
