Question Rear facing motorbike fine question

Hey all, sorry for posting another speeding fine question. I have a few questions here. Obviously cars and bikes are a bit different. But does the tyre and whole number plate have to be in the box for the fine to be legit. There is another car in the box too. Does that not void the fine. How do I go about contesting the fine. Cheers in advance.

Keen to understand how this works also.

Whilst on the same topic, if there's a mobile camera from an X-Trail set up on a dual carriageway (eg. Karrinyup Road), can it nab you if you're going the opposite direction at speed? IE. Does it only cover the two lanes for the traffic it is set up for or does it cover all 4?

I suppose you could argue that you were within the limit but the vehicle next to you was overtaking you, hence unreliable reading?

Looks like reasonable doubt to me, there's a box on the back of the fine you can tick if you want to contest, go for it and let everyone know how you get on,

Is it worth making a sticky with resources like this and all the questions?

I'd contest it - the lower edge of the reference frame is not beneath the bottom of the rear wheel. Well, it is - but the bottom of the wheel is not within the ref frame.

^^ no one ever looks at stickies -they just post up.

You will definitely get off this one.
Your shadow is clearly visible on the left side of your bike.
Motorcycles traveling at speed do not cast a clear shadow, as can be seen in Hillz photo.

The wheel of the vehicle also needs to be in the box (front or rear) this one is a fail. Yep I'd contest that one there was a link somewhere with the standards for it to be admissible as evidence. I doubt it would get to court there should be a procedure possibly on the back of the letter they sent you.
