At a guess but I could be wrong....

Your learners permit was issued to you in WA, you must abide by the terms and conditions on your learners permit at ALL TIMES. If you go interstate I would say you will have to adhere to the conditions of the permit and present it when requested. You dont have a Vic Licence or a Vic learners permit so any laws related to Vic learners will be irrelevant.

I would reccomend that you contact the relevant licensing centre in the State you are going to visit and get "Written Comfirmation" from them and carry it with you if you intend to ride. It would be an absolute pain in the arse to have to go back there for a court summons if things didnt go your way.

I asked this question once, A Learners is not valid outside of the state of issue.
Being an Australian is not an excuse for being dumb and racist.

Willagee and City West are usually about 3-4 weeks booked as well. You can usually pick something up in Rockingham reasonably easily(Havent tried for a few months though). You can however usually score a cancellation or a last minute test if needed.

If you didn't make it through on your first assessmentt, you have to wait 7 days to rebook.

Thanks Brett, I was thinking Rockingham, so will give them a shout next week.
Just don't want to wait 4 weeks for my test if I can help it.

    Cheers

A friend is going for her learners and has been told that she has to have a minimum of 10 hours in lessons before she can book her test. Is this correct?

Nope, I have always booked my test before having lessons for my truck licenses and my car and bike licenses, and on the same note I believe i would be struggling to have had a total of 15hours of lessons combined for all 3 of my licenses

    Lies Lies all lies.

However, if she has never ridden before it will generally take between 8 and 15 hours to train and prepare someone for their test.

she has had her license before. Rode for years. However, she lost her license about 6 years back for demerits, and they never gave her back her bike license. So therefore has to go through all the crap again she has been doing some riding still (naughty i know) realistically, she could pass the test without any lessons.

    Cant answer that one....

Can we please try and keep this on topic with genuine questions about learning how to ride rather than general questions that dont have much relevance to the topic.

If she believes she is ready, she can book a test and sit it. There is nothing stopping her from doing it.

... um ....did they reply yup to "can you" or "is it illegal 2"?

Question is how do you get your bike down too the carpark without a shadow?, cops could just wait for you to leave.

How do you get to the carpark without being supervised by a licensed rider or an instructor?

You must have someone with you at all times as per the conditions on the back of the learners permit.

Please if you are not an instructor/examiner do not post answers, just questions There is enough of us on here to provide the information to you guys. The whole point of this is so that people can ask an Instructor/Assessor to get information or clarification of something from someone who is. Sorry if I sound like I am complaining.
