yes i think you are right Halo_2 it can be done, but i think you have to have the ready cash to take advantage when a good opportunity comes past. money makes money and being an average family guy i dont have $5-$10k cash floating about that i can just plow into a bike flip to maybe make maybe a gorilla or $1500 pretty risky for low return. plus the women folk here would sniff that kinda cash stash out in about 45 seconds..

ive made some coin on a few bikes over the years, mainly two strokes and they are few and far between these days and i dont have a dedicated workshop or rebuild area any more
I cant help it if your perceptions don't match my reality

Did you have to send away for the delongi? I have same drama so eager to get it fixed.

For the bike- itís not as hard as you think. Know a bloke who is doing quite well out of flipping cheap bikes.

Lastly - what is it with women and positive bank balances? Itís like ohh thereís money there - challenge accepted !

    Delonghi WA service center -
    Direct Coffee Supplies Pty Ltd
Unit 17, No. 6 Quarimor Rd, Bibra Lake, Western Australia, 6163, Australia
    9418 8855

Opened up the pixie on both sides and its a sealed unit, so in the bin it goes.

    edit
Got it out of the bin found a repair manual online so going to have a go pulling it further apart and checking the thermal fuse.

Itís all screwless and click together shit

if your north of town theres Wangara household appliances ( Delonghi service agent) fixed mine, costs $55 to have a look and if you go ahead they take it off the bill. he diagnosed, rang with a quote, fixed it and gave me the bits replaced in a bag. never worked better! but be prepared to be without it for a couple of weeks

We had Saecos years ago and when they broke, which they did, you got ass raped on the repari bill, hence why we dont have one

some of them are charging $200+ for a look,

Picked this one up from the "Recycling" section at our local tip for $20...

In other good news, as of tomorrow the bank account will increase by ten-fold, and the home mortgage reduced by two thirds.

That's a win in any language

The common bond of motorcycles, it always amazes me where motorcycle enthusiats spring up. Have been pitching a deal In SA for a little while was there again this morning, finished talking business, yada, yada he talks about going for a ride on the weekend, conversation turns to bikes, we talked bout what im riding, "oh one of my friends has one, really likes it, for what it is..." exactly i say, so he says come out the back i will show you what bike i ride he says. Now hes sixty, six foot average build and straight up and down with business. Im thinkin beemer 1200..

He shows me his bike, i say bullshit, he says no, turns out he rides a Honda Grom. Conversation goes to riding with a grom squad, wheelies footpaths and group shennanigans. Reels off his list of other bikes.

    Morning? Made.

Volunteering to help at a Christmas lunch for homeless, refugees, and folks fallen on hard times.

The lady who owned the restaurant was a little dynamo of positive energy - she greeted us with "Oh, no shaking hands, HUGS!" and brought out some of the best chips I have had. "Do you want a drink? Beer? Soft drink?"

She ran the pass like a fast-paced kitchen (which it was) and had to be dragged out by her manager to "Have some fun out front" and soak up some of the gratitude of the guests she was feeding seafood, chicken wings, and pork ribs.

She was back in the kitchen about 5 minutes later to make sure everything was being done properly, calling orders, and still having a laugh with everyone.

At one point she came up to me (I was doing basic prep and running the washing) "Your boy is feeling sick, you have to go" (he was serving out front and had swilled too much soft-drink and chips earlier), followed by "Wait, wait, I have to get you food to take home!" as she ran around putting together take-away boxes for us. Followed by more hugs and, "You are welcome here anytime!"

Everyone involved were great to be around, and the owner came all the way from Melbourne to run the show personally.

Restores some faith in local humanity it does.

Just about finished my dogging course, rigging in the new year, plus a lot more on the job training - calibrations, cable making for test equipment.

    Seriously loving my new job

People taking the time to let riders tag along for the start of their rides. Thanks sporti - also made home before the missus went shopping so while not forgotten or even forgiven, I am alive.
