Heart racing, lungs burning = me being super unfit after 6 laps of the 50m pool. Me in my head: "I'll just do 11 laps - that's one more than last time, no need to kill yourself". Anyway, I ended up doing 22 laps as it's amazing the fitness/stamina you can build while exercising and the time I spent taking breathers between laps actually decreased. While I don't particularly enjoy swimming, it is low impact and a good respiratory workout which is what I need, and am finding ways to challenge myself. Tired, but it feels good.

GTIL - when you get a call from someone associated with a client asking if you would be able to do a job for them and books it in without even asking HOW MUCH.

When another job has me swapping a joke with a Phd in Theology saying "Oh, you. Come here.." and giving me a hug.

There have been studies recently about the effect of remuneration vs workplace performance, the results indicating that remuneration is in many cases inverse to result. In most studies increasing remuneration led to poorer cognitive performance, something most 1%s would be horrified by.

I guess that makes me feel better about being less than wealthy. Nice to have it confirmed scientifically

Call from Cullys, after 5.5 months waiting for parts they've sorted it all in 2 days. All from a bike knock-over by a careless courier.

Bikes all sorted, practically every fairing replaced including carbon fibre pieces. Only panels I can count that were not replaced to my knowledge are the front wheel cowl and one inward piece maybe 15xm by 8cm big. Everything else was replaced.
Tail tidy, no-cut sliders and case savers fitted by them.
New tyres fitted, new chain, all new brackets and pegs on left hand side.
    New headlight.

Can't wait til Saturday to pick her up, can't recommend them enough for the customer service, approachfulness and help.

This quote of yours reminded me of a similar incident riding with two other guy's a long time ago a couple of us got around and one stopped today for me would be a different story you are lucky to be young with good reflexes you don't always get away with such a maneuver.

Unfortunately Yamaha parts take a while, I knew the delay was coming as a mate had his bike there for over 7 months. Figured it is what it is, not the local guys fault, so saw no reason to be a cunt just carried on with life and waited for that blissful phone call to drop the bike in!
