Today, learning to deliver mail was a lot of fun.My trainer brought me back to DC once it started raining slightly heavier, as I did not have wet weather gear with me. He went back to finish the run, while I finished at 15:00PM
Fun day and I enjoyed it so much I still can't wipe the grin off of my face.

Tomorrow another day....no rain this time. Riding on soft sand and soil bike slides, foot down, lots of slow riding and u turns

Was thinking of you today and how much rain you where getting down that way. Glad they did the righty by you.
Ask them for a seat cover if they havenít given you one yet. Makes it a little more comfortable.
    Enjoy mate.

GTIL: After almost a decade in the wilderness, I am feeling more whole/purposeful than I have done in a long time. Itís taken me a long time to get to this point in my life; in fact most of my 30s. Iím no longer wanting to merely exist, hermitting at home; avoiding everything.

A life changing event occurred to transpire this change; if you donít grow from such an event then you didnít learn, or werenít ready to make the changes.

I lost myself for a while Ė the person I (always) was is coming back to the forefront. My sense of humour is coming back, my care factor and tolerance is coming back, my social anxiety is no more (in fact I can feel anxious if I *donít* have plans to do something), the fears (and associated excuses) I had are no more. Even going to work isnít as trying as my mindset has changed. I am thinking more deeply and have more to say (this is a fantastic feeling). I have had the opportunity to bury some long standing hurts from deep in my past and know that they no longer influence my present. All of these things combine to make me feel whole again. Thereís just so much stuff I now understand; some of it regretfully too late with respect to said life changing event, but itís always better late than never. Some of these changes didn't even involve making a conscious effort - it all just flowed after I fought the social anxiety issue.

I also had the realisation I am 40 next year Ė thatís never bothered me before. Perhaps because I was merely existing with no real purpose. Now, I am feeling ready for the next phase of my life

Awesome news Kristy. Life can and will still have its ups and downs but sounds like youíre in the best place possible to handle them.

Thanks Gim. When I was in my early 20s someone once said to me "you're meant to enjoy life, not endure it". I have never forgotten that saying, nor will I forget the wise person who said it. Having to confront the rut I found myself in, the options were: dig up, remain static or dig deeper - I decided it was time to dig up i.e. to "enjoy". There's still work to do; there'll always be work to do, but at least the momentum is there and I can see the benefits.

Also in my early 20s when I was running myself into the ground studying and working, someone said to me "make sure you stop and smell the roses". I remember thinking "she's so right but I'm busy - I'll do it later". The person who said about enduring/enjoying life also said "everyone says they'll do <insert activity etc> when they're less busy - well you'll never get less busy, only busier so you may as well do it now". So it's actually not about being busy, it's about priorities and making time. It's amazing how things change when you slow down and reassess your priorities. I now have all the time in the world for things that previously, never really featured/were lower down the priority list, and those that were up the top of the order have now sunk towards the middle/bottom.

Well... I can't just let a milestone like this slip by unnoticed.....

I have only been on PSB a few short years, and years are the gist of the element that has caught my attention.

    Deborah .. Happy Birthday.!!!!

Maybe you wished for a happy day

Maybe you wished for a countback on the years you have been on this lovely planet.....

OR maybe you just wished it would all blend seamlessly into the trudgery that has become your life.

Either way it was never to be missed... This is, after all...PSB

Did I mention it was yesterday....;-(

So had some very testing times lately and one thing I've needed to help someone with a mental health issue and the recent legal changes from 1st of April to health insurance allow for someone to use a one off exemption on waiting periods to access psychiatric care in hospital. Buh bow the insurer wouldn't agree to it, I took it to the ombudsman and won. I had a back peddling manager trying to make amends. I asked if they would be re-educating all their staff on the law so as not to deny or delay any other people in urgent need of access to this. The answer was yes and they have reviewed their legal advice.

Another good thing, sold some junk in the shed and have a few grand to chuck at a Remington 700 with a bit left towards a Schmidt and Bender scope.
