Why do you need to monitor from work? Most long cooks are around 12-24 hours at a fairly low temp so pretty much set and forget.

I highly recommend a 24hr pork belly. Cook a couple at once and once done ice-bath it and you can keep in the fridge sealed for a week or two - then pan fry portions for Bao buns or in a cranked oven for 10-15mins for melt in the mouth roast. I don't even bother with the bluetooth on mine, just set it all on the unit.

That is a very valid point.

    Started a new job today.

Actually doing something other than switching between GTA-V and Netflix all day feels great.

Great news, glad you are gainfully employed again.
But who will post in the anti-bargain bike thread now? 😃

Apparently lying on the couch playing a PlayStation and watching Netflix gives you bed head.

I did a 2kg brisket on my days off, didn't fancy it so I put it in the fridge

I drained it today and reheated it to 50 and burnt the hell out of it in oven

Sitting in the theatre room with the hubby, checking out Google Maps, to see our future home. We will be relocating to Utah for a year and I’m pretty excited. Although I’m not looking forward to the food much....I hear that our ‘fresh’ and their ‘fresh’ are two very different things 😬
We are going for medical treatment for our daughter that isn’t available here in Australia but we have decided to make the most of it and treat this trip as a giant holiday. I’m looking forward to it.

They don't have meat pies. A Mrs. Mac's pie that has been in the warmer for 10 days looks good when you arrive home after 5 years. And a lamb roast. Shit! I missed lamb roasts.
