RJays Strada II Flip Top Helmet. I have had several flip top helmets; Nolan, Zeus, Bell, Shark. The Nolan was one of the earlier models with the external sun visor. Did the job for a while. Zeus was quite good, but got pinched. The Bell did the job, but quite heavy and noisy, like flip tops seem to be. Didn't like the Shark much at all. Got it really cheap, so put up with it for a while.
Now to the RJays. Quite a bit lighter than the Bell and quieter. First helmet I have had with the new quick release chin strap. What a breeze! Love it. Quit e agood profile as well. So far been a great helmet and all for about $250.

You know you can now buy the best flip-face here in Australia? The Schuberth is officially imported and can be bought from Andy Strapz. I got mine from Italy when the EC certified helmets were still illegal. Nearly 4 years and over 50000 Km later still looks and feels like new. I'm not affiliated with Schuberth or Andy, just a big fan of the helmet.

TBH I don't know mate, it's not the takedown model so I think the barrel unscrews from the receiver with a tool
I haven't actually seen it 1st hand, a friend who works at a gunsmith had it come in and I'd been wanting one for a while and the fact it was almost new with the extra mags @ ~$55, scope and trigger job for $500 it was a good buy IMO
Especially given the fuck around at the moment with shipping firearms into WA making everything harder to get and more expensive

YEah, I've been looking at the break down models (easier for safe storage requirements here) and they're around $650 on average. As you say the fucking about to get them into WA sounds like a right PITA.

This lid arrived in the mail today. Went up to Quinns Beach to see how it goes on the Freeway and I've gotta say, it's nothing short of spectacular. Both the quietest and comfiest helmet I've ever owned, since I started riding in 2005.

I am interested in these. How do they go for sizing compared to say a Shoei?

I'd hope it was just balanced there for the photo and that's not how you normally leave your helmet otherwise you'll need a new one shortly when it falls on the ground

Pretty much the same to be honest. I had a Shoei NXR before this one and was a Small. Ordered a Small for the Schuberth and it fits perfectly. I bought it through Chromeburners which has a sizing chart on their page, so I used that to double check.

They were installed on my bike when I brought it. They get pretty toasty. When you put them on high it's not long before you turn them down. But you do notice that your palms are getting hot and your knuckles are still pretty cool. I rarely turn them on to be honest. But I only have a 20min commute. Maybe on a longer ride the heat will get through your hands and gloves more.
    Viva la 2 Stroke!!!

Stuff to make yummy stuff more yummy (and a bit of fabrication from scrap I don't throw away - 'cos it's always useful some-day)

24 hour pork belly will be the next test.

Yeh mate, they look a bit goofy with the controller on the handlebars, but once you've had heated grips you wonder how you ever lived without them!

They certainly do work well. I tested the auto shut off and it shuts off too late to have enough juice to start the mt10 - I'll chuck in a relay to the licence plate light this weekend
