Nice, a couple of weeks back we picked up a 2006 sp23 sedan for our son, $4800 and only ~65k on the clock which is really low for the age, 1 mature owner and apart from some peeling of the top coat on the boot and rear of the roof but other than that she's a pearl

Only two faults I have found was the previous owner couldn't connect the bluetooth in the two years they owned it, which I fixed by guessing the passcode written in the manual, and she reckoned the windscreen washers were blocked, so I filled up the bottle

On that basis, particularly the latter, I would recommend dropping the oil and checking any consumable/wear and tear item (if not already done so).

This 100% if they are that incompetent they can't even check/fill the washer bottle I'd be worried they had anything done to it

TBH this car had the best service history I have seen in a used car. Every single service done and stamped. Every bit of work that needed doing has been done.

But yes, every car and bike I have ever bought oil and filters get done straight away, regardless.

I know a shitload of people who know a lot about cars and bikes and yet treat them like absolute crap, and vice versa

Ah so they're the type of people who call out the RAC to check their tyre pressure either because they haven't a clue or have too much money

Chucked a set of these into the ZX10R, what a difference over the shitty halogen globes, can actually see where I'm going at night now.

Have a look on eBay/online shopping as you can get them for $150 as opposed to the $200 I spent at Supercheap.

I bought them as I was seriously pissed off the other night by not being able to see anything.

Apparently not ADR approved, will dig around for more info

Edit, work on a mine-site, can fit LED spotties, but not globes in existing headlights, some knee-jerker somewhere pointed that out....

That's correct, not ADR approved... but considering you can get a defect notice on your vehicle just for being alive, what difference does it make?

I fitted HID's back 10 years ago in the Bird to give me better lighting for the ride to and from work

You can get LED's even cheaper than that on eBay although there are various quality ones about, apparently the better ones to get have 4 chips on it as it gives a more even spread of light with no holes in the beam Yeah try riding at speed in the country at night and not being able to pick up roos etc

Nah none of the increased output lighting ie HID's/LED's is technically approved, not even sure on the +30/+50 type globes are legal
Bit weird about the mine site but I guess they need their gear to be legal as far as the law goes for OHS reasons yet because spotties are for "offroad use only" they're OK

+1 That's what I figured when I put my HID's in, I'd rather see what's ahead of me in the dark and other people see me than care about strict ADR legality
I just recently put an even more powerful HID in the high beam and I'm looking to put LED's in the Falcon for the drive to work

Just make sure your lights are adjusted right. Nothing worse than these HIDís being fitted and not adjusted. It blinds oncoming traffic.

    Tropheus duboisi.
Although the offer of an adult colony came up I was more interested in watching the tank dynamics as the juvenile cichlids reach maturity.

It's been 15 years at least since I've owned a tank of Tropheus and I've missed having them.

Nah all good, I made sure of that after the 1st day riding when oncoming cars were flashing me during the day in September
Took it home and adjusted them down so the cut-off on the LB was below boot height Rarely get anyone complaining now
