So Graelin, your top few positives and negatives of living in the caravan?

What have you learned that you would change on your next trip?

Just for you keys I took this photo. I came across three of these in the trip

I love Australian Outback Pubs. They have a character that draws me to them.

    Positives
I can leave the van and go off exploring. No need to pack up the camp

This size van six meter with seperate toilet and shower plus $50 portable second hand solar panel made us fully self contained.

I can take advantage of many free camps provided for travellers which makes this affordable.

The people that you meet on the road are friendly. We met young Scottish couple and had lovel evening a couple of nights back

    Disadvantages are few

We have a list that is just a few kitchen tools

The caravan in larger towns can be harder but I stay away from them as much as possible

A diesel heater would make life in colder places good. I bought fan heater but this requres 240 volt

I have been giving thought to you

    Advantages
Young, adaptable, trade behind you. Adventurer nature

A van. Good for trade can you make it self sufficient as this is an advantage?

Is a trailer an option easy to make it look like a tradie.

You can travel and explore and work. Living on the road is cheaper than renting buying a house

Donít like the neighbours turn the key and move!

You will not regret what ever time you decide to spend this way.

Just define what is good for your needs.

Happiness is a house with wheels!

9 weeks living in a tent - End of Week 3 - Alas, The End is Nigh

Well...I'm being kicked out by the caravan park along with 50% of the workers to make space for the school holiday crowd. Annoying, but it makes sense. They have regulars who come every year and if they piss them off with no availability this year, they'll never come back when the boom is over.

However, at the same caravan park there are cabins reserved for workers. A co-worker is leaving tomorrow and offered me his. Nothing flash, but it's actually slightly cheaper per week than the powered site I'm on. Left with no other good options, it's the end of tent life.

    I lasted 3 weeks.

Catching up with AZAZL next Wednesday night for a beer when he passes through.

Geez must have been the day for it! One of the women at work called in yesterday to say she'd hit a roo on her bike on the way in, again luckily she didn't drop the bike and was OK but the bike was unrideable

Bloody pleasure to have a beer with AZAZL tonight at the Euston Hotel (NSW). Turns out he now owns my old Hornet 600. What a small world.

Yes, the royal something pub in Euston has a thick and juicy sirloin. It was bloody nice!

SD is in a nice place on the murumbidge which I had the pleasure to sleep on the ground in. It is a good park on a winding section of the river.
