The Queenstown run in has a deadstop/right turn to allow upcoming vehicles to pass. ( it looked as though the side of the hill had collapsed and washed away)

The first time I saw it...I'm like PHARRRRKKK!!!! where is the road.??????

Then you proceed to the right skirt the mountain 1 lane then opens into 2...

I have no idea how you would go if a truck is coming up..as it states you must give way to ascending vehicles.

In real terms Tassie is 2.5 hrs high by 2.5 hrs wide...drive time.

I have the speeding ticket I got on Abel Tasman Bridge on the way to Port Arthur..in a frame on the wall...ha hahhaahaaa..

I am following this thread and it seems that things are going well. I hope any that are having issues are getting help they need.

Well for myself. In the last eighteen months a few major issues tripped us up. We really had to make decisions. One to stop work that was destroying my mental health. Linda faced serious illness and operation. I resigned got a part to me job I love. We bought an older caravan fixed up what was needed. Made it self sufficient so we can free camp. Tuesday we have been on the road three months. I have never felt so relaxed. In Central QLD highlands and seeing the true Australian with help always at hand. Last few night we were treated to country singer and Ringer at the evening fire.

Thanks Greg. Sometimes people just need to feel invited to speak to someone. When an invitation is made and you feel the need please take it up.

Yes the full moon is out behind the clouds in Tambo free camping area. We are thirteen weeks now on the road and love every moment.

Even the wealthiest/most successful people are not immune to mental health issues.
    More money....more problems

Maybe if avicii only did a handful of gigs or quite touring would still be here.

Depression does not discriminate. I am living very simply on the road, averaged around $9 per night accomodation in last three weeks. Finding ways to live well and cheap, buy fresh foods from markets where practical. I have changed my diet and lost about ten kilograms. Just descended a gorge today swimming at the bottom before a steep climb out. I have more energy and have felt so well mentally.

Simple things. Climbed down Porcupine Gorge today for a swim here.

Life has forced my hand, and after 3 years I'm riding again.

Boss reversed into my car in the work carpark.

Its a weird feeling being back on the bike.

Fate has a way of intervening - but you were working your way back to it anyway by the sounds
Hope the passion comes back for you.

Its been one of those things where recently Id been thinking about it, and then I'd go straight back to thinking about why I stopped. The MotoGP is about the only thing thats kept me connected to bikes in this time.

Just wish it didn't happen in the middle of winter.

Mine's in hibernation mode (because winter) but thought I was going to have to wake her up from her slumber today after an encounter last night with a feral rock on the Graham Farmer Freeway that had been presumably separated from its clan aboard a truck. Didn't see it because dark and hit it when checking blind spot to change lanes. Result: 1 gouged rim and a sliced sidewall on a 2000km old tyre (tyre dude's professional assessment: "she's proper fucked"). Luckily Bridgestone has a road hazard warranty which it should be covered under (pro-rata tyre life). So bike is still napping but am getting the urge to wake her.

Yep. Temperature is shit. I finish work at 4am. When I got home last night my arms were numb from the elbow down thanks to the cold. Not fun.

If anyone is interested I have posted a few more pics on our trip and update here. This has been the best thing for mental health to get back to nature.
