Mental Health First Aid for PTSD

The link is a fact sheet from Mental Health First Aid. I became an accredited instructor for this course in 2014.

Please remember this is not a treatment it is the initial help given to a person.

I've found some good course material on one of the USA sites for emergency response/disaster relief stuff. Good for identifying issues on a job. As vollys we have access to a dedicated support group to come in at brigade level for traumatic exposures, i.e. attending a suicide by hydrogen cyanide in a car. Then access to a provider to get you started.

So....what do you do if you don't want to be part of Facebook?
Why is important for people to tell someone else....than talk directly to you..?
Did I miss that part in my social training calender ?
    Wtf?

If it makes you feel any better, or less ostracised at least, almost all of the people that I actually like in the world are totally anti Facebook. I find people who need validation from a third party to an opinion or event are the ones everyone should concern their time with. I like to think anyone worth having anything to do with in your life, work or socially, will at least have the courtesy to to call you a cunt or mate straight to your face is far more important than the Facebook millions, and as another positive it renders a majority of the population as not worth your time

    Thanks.

I don't know why I let it get to me..It's been a strange week. It wasn't that I was ostracised... it was more included..I don't want to be part of that .....approval seeking/vanity worship shit.

I'll just let it go...and head to the shed to be with the bike. We don't need to share each and every waking thought, just being is enough.

For some reason when a cyclone is near my energy is sapped dramatically..maybe it's that..?

Maybe the people around you are just sucking your energy because it's easier than generating their own

I think we all have people around us that aren't good for our wellbeing, the best we can do is piss them off when you identify them

mmmm Having thought long and hard on the above..I have come to the conclusion that in fact my issues are all relatively small ones.

After 10 years and many different faces passing through my life and not having the urge to take anyones life from them even though it would be tantamount to instilling world peace I see there is a great deal left for me to do in this humble servient life that I live.

I will tread carefully and hopefully forever forward following my dreams in a bid to make them my reality against the throng of sheeple and cattlems.....I can see a bright light off in the distance in this case it is not a train in the tunnel.

I'm not depressed...just tired. My self esteem is not in question....I look each day at the face in the mirror and wish he has a better day than I will.. he always smiles back at me.

    All good there

My daughter had an operation Wednesday and now out of hospital. Then you will remember telling me the stripey dog has a sore paw. Well she is under general anaesthetic at the moment for it. Mrs Lin is at the surgeons today as support for another daughters surgery later this month.

So all is ok at the moment we just taking time to rest while we can as been a busy time with moving my Mum to.

Addition to above. Just used Mental Health First Aid on a person met by chance and got home to receive a lovely gift from Tambo Qld. Some people we met and stayed with on a Station during our big trip last year sent us a lovely Tambo Teddies picnic blanket. Linda was a Nanny to the then six year old who now at 41 runs this station.

We bought a Tambo Teddy on the trip named after the Station she worked on. This lead us to meet these people.

Travelling on their station so lovely memories.

For someone in a dark spot.........

When you walk away, you leave apart within you that can achieve that goal,
To stay an finish it to the end. Is the courage you leave behind.
