Geez, keep up the totally reasonable attitude and we'll take your right wing fascist nazi card off you.

So based off of this website (http://www.sharkattackdata.com/place...tern_australia), Western Australia has had 28 fatal shark attacks since 1900

Meanwhile, based off of the RSC website (https://www.rsc.wa.gov.au/Statistics/Latest-Statistics), 43 people have died on our roads this year

and based off of this website (https://www.rsc.wa.gov.au/Statistics/Annual-Statistics), 41 motorcyclists died in WA in 2016

I know you're not very bright, but are you seriously buying in to the sensationalism that surrounds shark attacks ? Or is this another one of your pathetic 'troll' attempts ? Fuck right off with your Today Tonight/A Current Affair level of intellectualism
    Rest in Peace

most people do not get upset about the significantly higher rate of death from snakebite. A better comparison.

the increased rate though is the thing and sharks will outgun the snakes within a couple of years the way the rate has increased.

Something unusual is happenning in the Margs region, wouldnt you say?

Jumping out the water like a seal attack is a bit suss.

    No, no it's not.

Reunion Island before they banned people going into the water was much more impressive.

Second bite was the knob jockeys own fault for ignoring warnings to go in and surfing near a dead whale.

I have been in the water (surfing) and seen three sharks capable of doing severe damage in 40 years of being involved. None were behaving aggressively and we went in once because me mate had lost his board.

I think we should have drum lines to thin out the older slower ones that can't catch seals and fish anymore but not a straight cull. That just encourages every dickhead with a boat to slaughter any shark.

Interestingly the previous attempt at drum lines resulted in lots of smaller dead tiger sharks, which have very few documented attacks in W.A. and three straightened hooks. Those are the fuckers we needed to kill.

Maybe a recreational fishing ban for three years to boost fish stocks?

Agreed, if we can develop ones suitable for great whites and not 2m tigers.

Downside is people get very emotional once you kill certain creatures. Great whites are a no-no, kangaroos surprisingly ok, cows ok, dolphins big no-no.

But yes, that dickhead who went out to Lefties with the carcass on the beach and with signs up has most likely cost us our world tour even from being resigned beyond 2019. Feel for Alex who got bitten the couple of hours prior, a Surfing WA work crew member (not someone who directly works for WSL as reported).

Surely in this OH&s climate we still have to try and mitigate risk...

I might be a bit dull....."whale carcass with sharks feeding from it in the vicinity of a surfing competition/ocean event.." is just asking for trouble...be it from an innocent in the wrong place at the wrong time.....

OR Slam Dunk who needs the attention of being a maverick to a global audience...and deserved his moment of Kharma...

Sad that some surfers..are now spokesmen for everyone else who uses the ocean as a playground....they sound like winging kharntz..afraid to surf at Margs..... yet their home beach is Jeffries Bay.. wtf??

" .. we will attempt to re-organise the surfing event to no longer coincide with the annual Salmon Run up the coast...as long as the event doesn't clash with The Bells Beach event.."

A local politician quoted as saying they had already spent the profits from the event....in not so many words.....
" Imagination is the seed of life..."
