With our i40 the central locking opens if the air bags go off, imagine it would be the same for most cars.

Trying to clean dried up pasta off a colander I was too lazy to do last night. Pushed hard with fingernail and drove said pasta well under fingernail

    Worse than childbirth I'd reckon.

Put all stubborn dishes in sink, fill with hottest tap water you can find and a bit of detergent, go have a beer and 99% of it will just rinse off.

Dishes aren't worth the frustration and effort it takes when they are dried/baked on.

Is it fair to assume that a few (men) single folk.. on here are charged with the cooking duties...?

    For mine...don't cook = don't eat...

My soul needs the smell of fire now and then...

The bbq is the port of call...not wholesale pyro.

my gripe. fkn USPS... slow /painful / monotonous

Shame AUS dealers/manufacturers don't have US contact....they could intercept your OS part enquiry and make a killing from the process.....

If I know it's going to be a bitch to clean off when it dries I either wash it there and then, or put water in it. In the case of colanders - I always clean them upfront.

There is also always the dishwasher but I tend not to waste space in there by putting large pots/pans in there, just usually use it for plates, cups, bowls, cutlery. If I'm running out of crockery/cutlery I'll use it for pots/pans.

Yes, spot on. My bbq took over the kitchen years ago. Every week or so, close it up on full burn for a while, wait to cool then scrape off the char, add oil, start again.

Dishes always a problem solved by a dishwasher. Prior to that, never soak, as that creates a biohazard soup. Spray the growing pile of dishes and pots with glen 20 to keep the bacteria, maggots and smell down until you can be fucked dealing with it. Or you run out of plates pots and pans. Either wash them, or hit Kmart and buy new.

People that put too much energy into food hygiene are wasting lives better put to riding.

Best I can do to describe the issue is this.
Normally it goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, shift, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

But now it's a bit more like this
    BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-R-R-r-r-r-r-r-, shift

Was at the pub this arvo having lunch with the family and we watched a guy sink 5 or 6 beers in the space of about an hour then proceed to kit up in a 2 piece Alpinestars race suit complete with a Dainese back protector before heading out the door.

I'm not sure if this classes as ironic or not..

Internet 'service' Providers. I am looking for a new home net provider and its so hard to decipher all the crap on offer. Apparently TPG has taken over westnet, iinet and some others and reduced the customer satisfaction to almost zero. I just read reviews of 6 or 7 companies and the highest rating was 2 stars out of 5. Lift your game Australian Telcos.

When your mum calls you at 10:30pm, it's never good news. Mum is 72 and has just been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Apparently it was caught early and is easily treatable by removing the tumour then radio/chemotherapy. So the prognosis is good.

But at her age this will really knock her about. She is currently an active, switched on and energetic person, constantly traveling, helping out in the community and has a large social circle. My fear is how badly that will be impacted, I hope she doesn't become an old lady virtually overnight.

The good news is I'll be there in a few days to give her the biggest hug ever.
