Replace the shaft seal with a new one. Should be tight enough a fit that you need a socket to tap it on to the housing.

There's two parts involved - the housing and the seal. If the seal is new and good then the housing isn't.

You've got the O ring on first, behind the seal?

rs 125 track bike up date .
had the bike on the track for first time last saturday . not so good.
would not pull very well ,dropping the needle made an improvement but not much .
locked wired open the power valve today and ye ha ,that,s better.
should have the race fairings for last meet at collie in november ,a little bit of fine tuning for the carb and some heavier fork oil .
    should be good to race:

Have you tested and adjusted the power valve solenoid? Shorting it to the battery should indicate whether it works or not. The cable tends to kink, causing the PV not to pull out until the cable is replaced. Worth getting right for the bottom end result.

It'll be the cable then. Took me ages to work that out because it would work when it was straight but stop working as soon as it was in position. Turns out it frays on the inside because of the tightness of the bend.
