    Let's not quibble about which bike it's on. Both of them will scare the living shit out of your average punter and probably most regular track riders.

    There's more performance difference between some sets of tyres than MotoGP vs WSBK bike.

    I've witnessed first hand what the Australian sun can do to carbon fibre...

    The frame better be treated and UV stabilised to the nth degree or you'll be returning to you $100k+ shitbox in front of the coffee shop and find the engine sitting on the ground surrounded by a yellowy powdery -used-to-be-your-frame substance.

    Ahhh who am I kidding, being in an Italian bike they would have taken everything into consideration and it will be faultless.

    And the reason for the Akrapovic being on it is because that's what the WSBK bike uses.

    Oh hang on... they're building 500 of them? convenient number considering that's 1/2 way to the requirement for homologation for WSBK, expect another 500 being built and seeing Ducati use it to attempt to pull in the performance of the ZX-10R.

    Even if it was just have to look at BST rims or A380 wings that get damaged/cracking, I wouldn't want a carbon fibre frame.
    But to be fair just like the desmosedici it will spend its life inside a garage or the house

    They'll push to get this thing through... probably with another 200cc out of the motor and maybe then have 1/2 chance at beating real motorcycles with their 2 cylinder dump truck.

    Those filthy, dodgy underhanded sausage eating surrender monkeys.

    As for the carbon fibre, it looks like all of it is painted/coated so as to stop UV degradation...

    Inspecting a CF frame regularly would be important.

    With BST rims a visual inspection quickly shows up any damage through the UV resistant clear coat.

    I have sets on 2 ducatis. No problems. Riding includes a lot of high speed potholed backroads and dirt roads. No cafe crawling.
