What a debacle. On a positive note moto gp streaming is running the best I've seen it in ages. Even got 1080

Just do it. Seriously, if you look up the standing rules of PSB it goes something like this.

    1. Dont be a dick
    2. Desmo is allowed to be a dick (sometimes)
    3. Buy the one with the most Duke
    4. Dont ask about fixing the search function.
    etc etc..

Well that was exciting. I was expecting Vinales to lead from the first few laps, instead Zarco provided a little entertainment. Great result for Aleix.

Had to turn off multiscreen. While it was still running, it was getting choppy with 3 and 4 screens, and having 2 screens the quality was sitting at 360p. This would probably work better with the NBN. Having just the single screen it was happy to spend the majority of the time at 1080. I'm not really surprised here.

Zarco looks like he might make things a bit interesting this year if he can keep that sort of pace. Having him battling amongst the front runners, even if he can't keep it up the whole race will provide much entertainment.

Props to Vinales. Was able to prove that he can do more than just put in some quick times, he can battle with the best of them. I'll be happy if he can keep finishing ahead of Rossi.

Dovi really has that Ducati sorted doesn't he? Especially when you compare him and Lorenzo.

I can see Marquez playing it very safe this year, and he might need to.

    Damn it Crutchlow.

An unusual race to be sure.
I think some rider interviews will give some insight to it all.

    Zarco is pissed
He was about to back off and could have run away with it or at least kept a podium position.

Congrats to Mav for the win, but I still wouldn't call that battling with the best of them.
Qatar (especially this round) doesn't offer much in terms of 'racing'.
If he's in the top 3 at the end of the year - that will be a different story.
    Maybe I'm being harsh?

It was (by all riders) mostly an outbrake on the main straight - with a couple of corners thrown in.
    I was quite bored tbh.

I don't think you're being harsh at all. Qatar really doesn't give great insight as to what will happen for the rest of the year nor do the first three rounds really. If Mav was to beat Marc at COTA that would be a real statement though. Pedrosa or Marquez aren't particularly(relitive to themselves) strong at Qatar so it's more than likely it's not a great indicator of where the Honda is at either.

Throw in the fact it was a very strange race due to strange conditions it's silly to draw a real conclusion as to how the rest of the season will go.

I think one thing that's confirmed is that the Yamaha is still the best bike on the grid by a fair ways, the tech 3 bikes are great bikes but Pol and Smith were making them look much worse than they were.

It might seem silly, but the speculation is part of the fun!

yeh Marquez said he would just like to challenge for the podium certainly not the honda's favourite track. What a season it looks to be though.....

    Right! I'm fkn excited.

I'm tempted to skip MotoGP this year, so I can hook up a drip and binge this shit at the end of the season

If Honda can't sort their shit out, I wonder if Marquez will be looking elsewhere next round of contract negotiations? Because of his ability to adapt I think he'd do well on any bike be it Yamaha, Suzuki or Ducati.

Although unlikely Yamaha would need his services in 2019 with Vinales as their number 1 rider, Suzuki and possibly Ducati might be looking for their world champion.
