    Ok, after a good couple of rides, gravel, while not my best friend, is definitely not the big issue it was. Along with sand, just running lower pressures basically solved 90% of the bad "feeling" I had in the front. Settled on around 14-15psi front and rear, coz we doing a bit of tarmac transport sections between fun (and it was the quickest way to the pub). I now carry a small 12v compressor and will return pressures to 22+ for the ride home from there, if a convenient servo doesn't present itself.
