    Welcome.
Best I can do to describe the issue is this.
Normally it goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, shift, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

But now it's a bit more like this
    BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-R-R-r-r-r-r-r-, shift

You've never had to turn around once since getting a bike? I'm starting to see why some on the Adley ride seemed to have so much difficulty doing a simple U turn when we took a wrong turn, no one seems to practice the basics once they get their licence
I realise they aren't a requirement and I'm no "expert" by any means but I still try and keep the skills fresh when I can even if sometimes it's a bitch on my big heavy Bird in tight streets

By u turn you mean the O turn thing? Ride the rear brake, raise the revs a little and slip the clutch to control your speed. To put that into practice in a U turn, just apply the road rules to the manoeuvre.
