    That's the unimaginative way.

I usually say I'm gonna spit straight up and see who it lands on, then when they get under the covers to hide you let rip.

    1. (Australian slang) The act of having a whole group of friends (or fellow potheads) bundle up into a car (preferably a full passenger load) and all smoking marijuana, preferably with the windows wound up, as to have the car's interior thick with both a bong haze and steam from the bods sitting in the said vehicle! And having no fresh air coming in, one can get get stoned both on the toke and the haze. Great in a panel van too!
Before the concert, we all piled up into Jack's car and had ourselves an almighty Dutch oven: faaaark, we were ripped! Phwooooar!

Artur is hard at work. I can tell he's old school and takes a lot of pride in his work.

Is it the metal ladder he's standing on? Or the fact they make us use platform ladders everywhere these days.

You essentially can't even carry out any work from a ladder these days. I got done back when I was bricklaying for carrying my spirit level up a ladder.

Retarded, I don't disagree with anyone, but the last thing he needs is some wanker giving him grief.

Worked off ladders for 30 years, never had an incident.

    Now suddenly it is unsafe?

I did tell an older apprentice once to get off a ladder and wait for the scaffold as he was near the top of a 12 mt extension ladder drilling a 100mm hole through a limestone wall by reaching around the ladder. he told to not be cheeky and get fucked.

To me, no, but to the wrong person with the power to make your life difficult, yes.

    Yep.

Like I said, I agree and common sense and being accountable should prevail. I would just hate to see him dobbed in from a photo showing him hard at work.

Mr. Bean, you`ve got me embarrassed. For the rest of the respondents , top of the ladder was secured by nylon rope. Few years ago this way was acceptable in of shore construction sites and on boards, where I was as electrician or ETO sometimes.
    Have a good one.
