And what was the dogs name?

One of the few kiwis in thearly days that were allowed into the house - the daily dose of footrot flats. Sad to hear of his passing

My only interest in the news paper as a boy, was when fush & chups was wrapped around it, or reading Footrot Flats. RIP Muzza

When I was a kid I got a feral kitten from a family members farm and named him Horse. I miss that cat.

I must have every Footrot Flats book in a box somewhere because I owned them all as a kid and they are something I would never throw away.

    RIP Murray

I just rehoused my Footrot Flat collection in a new bookshelf only a couple of weeks ago. (Inherited from my Dad)
Flicked through a couple with great nostalgia, vowing to find more time to read them again and wondering if my kids would view them with any similar sense of joy and connection. (likewise with the Calvin and Hobbes collection next to them.)

RIP Murray. So long and thanks for all the smiles.

Murray had a unique way of interpreting animals actions.
We all saw 'Footrot Flats' in our own pets.
I had the pleasure of sharing a couple of 'Smoko' breaks with him many years ago while we were realigning the road passed his farm. We thought he was famous, he didn't.

oh man.... one of the few comics introduced to me when I first came to Australia... loved it to death even though most of the humor didnt translate well to me till later on...

    thanks for the memories...

Well I do know the name of the dog whose voice was used for the dog's voice in the film...

The only thing of any intelligence ever printed in the Narrogin Observer, the dog been the mascot of a now defunct maintenance squadron in the RAAF i was once part of. Everyone knew a farmer that was a bit like Wal or Cooch and there is a bit of dog in any sheep dog you ever come across. Nothing lasts forever I guess RIP.
