    Basically if you can pull out the fabric linings you're left with plastic, which is pretty easy to rid of fungus. No sense in binning an expensive helmet if it's cost effective to safely salvage it.

    As scary and unfortunate as ReCon's story is, it doesn't warrant stating "end thread". It's kinda like saying "never do gardening because there's fungus there". But, in the case of the garden, the danger is less easy to mitigate than with the helmet.

    Fuk That shit ..I'm planting Tomatos' today should I wear textile or leather jacket? and helmet..?

    Or just do it down wind like I have for the last 40 odd years...?

    Hey that's great for you man I really admire your spunk. Life is all about taking risks I guess, we all have a line we wouldn't cross..for me /end thread is here ------ yours is here.
    It's not the anedcotal evidence from a guy on a motorcycle forum, I've seen it first hand and it's not pretty. If you are prepared to take such a risk for a few hundred dollars then good luck.
