I completely agree, I had a pushy stolen and gave them all the details of the dude that had it advertised on gumtree. I never got it back and that's part of the reason I want to do this. If we have to break an arm or 2 to send a message to bike thieves and the WA police/ courts I'm willing to take that risk.

I hope you're aware that the police can and do check PSB from time to time, so if you're going to say things like this I would hope you haven't included enough information in your 59 posts to clearly identify who you are..
    Rest in Peace

That would involve actual police work... if they want to know who I am all they need to do is ask.... or follow the link at the beginning of this post. They can't catch me for something I haven't done.

Genius! Once a couple of these guys get caught and start posting on the WA Bike Thieves Facebook group they're all going to think twice about needing to steal something to feed their uncontrollable need for drugs!!1!

You'll get your undamaged bike back after it hasn't been set on fire, the Police will jump straight on to the report of your bike which was stolen but is now back safely in your hands, the courts will welcome your recordings without any objections about its legality and the full weight of the WA legal system will come crashing down on the perpetrators.

It'll be the hardest two weeks of that crims life. Totes worth it!!!

Transmitter/receiver range is generally quoted with clear line of sight.
It makes the specs sound better (plus, there's no real alternative).
The device originally linked to gives a range of 2km, which will also be over open ground/water.

FWIW I think this whole idea is a bit silly and will not end well.

honestly we would all love to go batman and shit and stealthily turn up right when a crime is being committed and beat the shit outta the crim. but this is reality mate. the lead character in your life is not invincible and shit like a screwdriver to the neck goes bad quick.

best just have adequate insurance. report shit to the police and move on with life.

Alright. Due to an overwhelming response of you're an idiot. I won't be taking this any further. It just really shits me that WA is the worst for bike theft and the only people acting on this stat are insurance companies jacking up insurance year after year.

a pointless task, every body & police know the main offenders of bike theft in perth, if you bike goes missing check koongamia near midland sit there for a day & you will see heaps of stolen bikes.. they use the under age abo kids to do the leg work as there is nothing we or the law can do to them. then a bike is usually sold/traded many times before it finds a new home

best way to avoid bike theft is always lock up your shit, have a 6foot fence ALL ROUND and a dog..

The funniest part of this is that you want other people to pay for your vigilante-tools.

    Talk about theft...

The Daytona seem to have a bit of a theft history.
Mtriumph should consider offering some sort of retrofit solution to their previous "loyal" customers
