Depending on the design of the calliper it is sometimes effective to remove it from the axle. Roll it over so the bleed is actually in the vertical. Some callipers are notorious where the fluid channel is in relationship to the top of each chamber and where the bleeder is.

Panigale rear caliper nipple is on the bottom when mounted

Yer thanks fellas, this particular BMW set up is pretty cool, I have a centre stand, but side stand is the best for the rear the nipple is right on the bottom.on the left.so the fiuld has drainage, been out this morning, got some tubing an some motul dot 3&4. I'll go out to the shed find a glass jar with a tin lid an drill a hole it.
I'll be sure untighten the reservoir cap, I won't remove it ,an just wrap a rag round it.
I'll let you how I go, cheers.

If the nipple is on the bottom, you'll really need to remove the wheel and caliper to bleed it.

The nipple needs to be at The highest point to let the air 'float' out.
The greatest excitement comes from besting who you were yesterday.

Reverse bleed is the go IMHO... on lower mounted nipples..

Hmmm when I get lucky it can happen...
The only thing wrong with a perfect ride to work is that you end up at work.

Presumably first thing in the morning bleed them...otherwise nothing will happen just holding the pedal down...IMO
