    suzuki gs500 1+1+1=2? build

    So...
    bought this bike

800 bucks licenced . Needs fork seal. Bit tick tick noisy . Bit oil leaky bargain

    Bit more oil leaky noisier

    Quite oil leaky clattery

    Valves? Head gasket?
    That's doable

    Head off.
    Gasket f'ed
    valves fine

Looks like a big end bearing is cause of noise
    Bother.

    So obvious solution would be..

    Buy 2 more bikes
    1 repairable
    1 stat write off

    So current inventory is

    Bike 1
1991 engine knackered, still require fork seal, engine removed, licenced

    Bike 2
2006 runs (sounds good) front end buggered.
    Licensable
requires forks , bars , headlight, gauges .

    Bike 3
2009 runs (sounds good) bent forks .
    Is the fared version
    Stat write off
Is in better nick than other 2 . (Had NSW rego they dont do the repairable thing. i believe)

    Plan is
Take engine from 3 put in 1 (wiring loom compatable? Dunno)

Get forks for 2 - ebay incoming
Tank, seat, rear panels gauges bars? from 3 to 2
( Can i use F type headlight? Find something else?)
    Get licenced

    Simples?

The suspension of the GS500 is made for a 50kg Japanese so it recommended to change the front and rear springs anyway (easy job). I can get you a procedure how to mount upside down forks if you want. The rear suspension can be easily swapped with a 6er bandit kult element. They are usually cheap on eBay.

    ^^ yeh that..^^

The front end is Jap generic.... fits a heap of suzuki's

I'm in the market for a straight front end for the 2fiddy.... can't get seals for GSX250SSM... So I put gsx 1100 efe front end init...wit da rgv callipers/rotors n wheel now I have full power motor...

The front end weighs 5x as much as std...

have fun with the project mate.
