    LED conversion - help

    Hey Everyone.
Long time reader, 1st time poster.
    Dirty Hyosung GV250 rider here

Have noticed that at night, I am not very visible.

Was looking at doing an upgrade of the lights on the bike to swap out the old incandescent lights (Brakes, indicators and possibly headlight) to LEDS.

Being a oldish (2006) model, I suspect that there will be a lot more than just swapping out the bulbs/housings with aftermarket LEDs. There will be resistors and/or flasher relays etc.

Could someone shed some light (pun intended) on the best way to go about this upgrade?

And just so we can get it out of the way, department of Finance and Treasury - aka the wife - will not release full funds for a suitable upgrade.

Thanks in advance for any helpful tips.

Any wife that won't let you upgrade from a Hyosung isn't worth being married to.

you best tell your wife upgrading from a hyo is like suicide prevention.

since riding a hyo everyone will give you their opinion that they are shit.
and you may say yea but everyone has an opinion like everyone has an asshole.
    but assholes matter.
coz without an asshole there would be no room for food.
so no room for food means you dont eat.
if you dont eat then you dont shit
and if you dont shit you die.

in summary opinions, like assholes, matter.

I will swing past Supercheap and have a look at what they offer/recommend etc. Then go on line and buy for a fraction of the cost
    Cheers.

    Go spend around $1,000 on a GPX250 or ZZR250.

The other alternative (although some may disagree) is to get some HID globes and replace the existing globs with them

I put HID's in my 98 BB in 07 and got more output from my LB that the HB had before On the country roads I ride to work with HB on I can pick up a roo at ~500m away
They did take a bit of fiddling to make sure they didn't bling drivers but they are still going strong and I rarely get people flashing me with LB's on

I'm thinking Op's wife is keeping him on a Hyosung as a way of guaranteeing he has absolutely no chance of pulling random roots from having a hot bike

Baby due in about 3 weeks.
So as much as I would LOVE to upgrade, can not really justify.

Howd you go with the upgrade? LED flasher is simple and easy, resistors are readily accessible at most auto stores and only needed for the turn signals..everything else should be a matter of changing terminals at the worst.

You need a resistor and a new swing arm.
