Cant get enough of your builds... subscribed

The shock body looks v-close to rear cylinder exhaust... illusion?
Going to bother with a front rim to match the rear?

Buy my KTM RC8. Stunning condition. Stock as a rock. https://www.perthstreetbikes.com/for...d.php?t=186147

    Hey mate.
I was originally planning on creating a bike with that rear rim on but on the weekend i had another idea. Create a RC45 or NC35 looking VFR800 and use the rim for that.
So basically make a racier VFR. What you mightnt know is VFR800 has a 180deg crank which gives it its wicked sound. The VFR1200, RC30 and RC45 had 360deg cranks which sound close to a normal inline 4. BOO.
And in my best Simon Cowell impersonation, "it's a NO from me" its a completely bad idea when they could sound like a VFR800. Same goes for the fucked up VTEC clunk instead of geared cams.

So I've got a 5spoke vfr800 wheel that can go on and keep the 8spoke for the VFR800 if i do it...
but did i mention how much i love the V4 180deg crank gear driven cammed engine sound ??

So as for mounting the shock up, yeah the exhaust will come out and make a turn. Its not too bad but the header needs to be changed for sure. Its not as tight as it looks and the shock mount at the top need moving back which helps clearance. The dogbone needs to be 30mm longer too. Going to make a new one. The triangle plates will then be correct.

Nice work! A Firestorm with a sprinkling of HRC goodness was my initial slip/trip/fall down the V-twin rabbit hole and I've been spiralling downwards ever since! Massively underrated bike that is very easy to improve, and such good value. Having said that, it doesn't look like you are taking the easy route on the improvements, lol....but you only get out what you put in, so should be a cracker.
