How do you figure? They were all either out of class or not licensed to ride anything past a pushbike. What makes some difference was locking their bikes up, at least for that month...

Outstanding - I've been wanting the exact GPS co-ordinates for that camera for a while.

    How did you find it?

Got the location of the Wundowie one?
One owner. Only driven gently on Sundays. Sold to best offer. First to see will buy. Reward offered for safe return. Coming soon to a cinema near you. Available for a limited time only.

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.

His comment was taking the piss as they didn't have a licence for a MC anyway

The article said near Sovereign Hill Drive so just looked on the Police camera site and saw a fixed camera in Gabbadah and looked where that was on Google Maps and used Street View to move up and down the road

Yep, that one's easy to find.

I can't find the Wundowie or Northam ones. The Northam Google map is dated 2015, so that's out of date.

All I can find is this: http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/west...f35996c9ee30b0

"Two will be on Great Eastern Highway 700m east of the El Caballo Roadhouse in Wundowie and on the outskirts of Northam, east of the Shirley Strickland Bridge."

Although I can't see myself driving past either camera in the near future, I'd still like to keep my GPS up to date (ie I've got my own POI file that I keep updated).

Great Eastern Hwy, Wundowie (700m east of El Caballo Roadhouse) apparently. Images from google in the area are still from 2015 though

Also - Great Eastern Hwy, Northam (east of Shirley Strickland Bridge)

    EDIT: Beat me to it

Both are on thin grey (galv) non-descript poles, Wundowie is on the left heading east and Northam is on the right heading east

eurgh, sad thing is, this will no doubt be seen as the rule rather than the exception to justify more cameras

No but just going off Google maps and looking at the pics and quoted 700m distance it appears to be ~ HERE where this Armco is If I'd have seen this last week I could have taken a slight detour after work but I'm on holidays ATM so unless I happen to take a ride out there I wont see it for a while

It does? Only looked like it took pics from one direction or do you mean it works approaching and leaving?

I looked hard on Google maps and the pole only seems to have large openings for a camera on the northern side The south side does appear to have openings but are narrow and appear to face the bush on the side of the road rather than the lanes of traffic and appear just for access into the pole

I think the "both ways" means the camera gets both lines, so front facing for the Perth bound traffic and rear facing for the Lancelin bound lot.

Until they stop supporting their product, like they did with the ALG9...better to get the Stinger.

S 31 48.313' E11622.103' is the Wundowie one which has a new camera box on it with 2 observation camera poles either side (still grey)

-31.637889, 116.645070 for the Northam one which is now a large box (freeway style) with a spiked camera pole in front
Talking to a mate in Northam, he is fairly certain these are point to point.

Ruh roh - I took mine off the R1 when I sold it and haven't put it back on car/bike. Do these no longer work or just not providing updates anymore?
