You are right again, I heard that Rossi had zero input into the Yamaha since his return in 2013.

Not so sure it's a good deal for Ducati though. I don't think any of the top factories want anything to do with him, rumour is that he will replace Redding at Aprilia.

Rossi previously had JB to help with the development direction of any bike he was on. JB is a motorcycling genius and the loss of him has definitely hurt his ability to develop a bike IMO.

Lorenzo and Zarco hold the key to the silly season negotiations. Suzuki would kill for either of them. Yes, Lorenzo has had a shit season and looks to be embarking on another. After his stint at Ducati his bidding price may well go down and after his showing at Ducati it's a bit more of a gamble to put him on another bike knowing his specific riding style but his ability to run at the front on a bike more suited to his riding style has not likely been diminished during his Ducati stint.

I'm very interested so what happens as well. Ducati have said they're not interested in Zarco, and that could make sense given he is known for his smoothness like Lorenzo and they don't need another rider with that style on their bike. Honda has interest in Zarco but I'm not so sure they want Marquez and Zarco scrapping it out every weekend. Pedrosa is still a great second rider and they know the combination works.
Lorenzo to Suzuki makes more sense for them in my opinion than Zarco because he has such a stellar record and his input into bike development does seem to be invaluable going from what has happened at Ducati and Yamaha. Suzuki is close but Lorenzo could give them a bit more of a push to be consistently challenging for the win.

^Neither Rossi or Marquez were at the press conference and are having their own special ones I believe.

Probably banging each other behind the pits.

Yeah, it's scheduled that MM is before the Presser, VR is after.

Why are they still giving this airtime?

    Move the fuck along.

Because publicity good or bad means more people will tune in.
Marquez will say that he didn't mean to hit Rossi and that he is sorry that he crashed, that the speed difference was much more than he expected but won't mention that Rossi did leave the door open. Rossi will continue his vendetta against Marquez. 'Journalists' will run off to continue making this non story a story for more views and something will likely happen during the race which finally has everyone move on. Except the Valeban who continue to wish death upon Marquez for the crimes of racing Rossi and being more talented.

Marquez made no comment on the Rossi thing and only said his bike stalled on the grid due to an electronics issue that also had affected Crutchlow earlier in the weekend.

Rossi says he stands by his comments in Argentina that Marquez hits riders on purpose and now is not the right time for them to talk but maybe in the future.

Jack Miller told both of them to stop being immature.

Not sure how you think Marquez is being immature, he is refusing to get drawn into a slagging match with Rossi. I didn't get that from what Jack said. He told 'journalists' to stop their bullshit stories. Zarco said that there is no consistency with race direction and spoke about Sepang 2015 in how Rossi got what was in his opinion no real penalty. Crutchlow told David emmet that he's never been on a MotoGP grid so he doesn't know what it's like when you're bike has stalled. David emmet was pathetic, which was ironic given the question almost immediately followed his comments about 'journalists'. The press conference(all of them) was an embarrassment, the 6 riders in the main press conference spent most of the time being asked about the Rossi/Marquez incident. IT wasn't even the worst incident of the weekend.

I disagree with your interpretation of this.

David quite innocently asked what Cal would have done if his bike stalled?
To which Cal replied, that he would just put his hand up - but continued with - you haven't been on the grid in that situation, and you'll do whatever it takes to not start from the pits.

Didn't see a problem with it.

He condescendingly asked riders if they knew the procedure for what happens when they stall the bike on the grid. If you've seen any of his recent articles he is calling for race bans for Marquez. Of course riders are going to do whatever they can to not have to start from the pit lane, it's up to officials to make sure they start from pit lane. The fact that the media spent that long on a relatively minor incident is still pathetic no matter which way you look at it.

Sorry, you're correct - his question was worded if they know the procedure - not what would you do.

No, I haven't read anything else from him.
