Nowhere to go but up but yeah, he's starting to sound a bit more like he belongs there. It's a thankless job for anyone.

You're right. However Steve and Matt never seem particularly interested in anything he has to say.

Well that was exciting but it seems Marquez is the Orca.

Flipping the baby seals in the air for 20 laps then swallow them and check out.

Bye! thanks for the tasty feed.

Thanks for the link, I still had to search for the race but ended up just watching it and it was amazingly entertaining

+1 The fact JL saved the front then had VR try and arse fuck him with the Yamaha as well certainly restores some belief in his ability, he's been doing it hard on the Ducati but has turned it around recently

Is Crafar the one that sounds like a retarded version of Neil from the Young Ones? Fuck he sounded annoying

An article arguing why Marquez is already in serious consideration for being the GOAT.

In the period when Rossi was winning titles...nearly 10 years ago now did he ever fight in an 6-7 rider battle that lasted the entire race and come out on top? Or win a championship in a season with 9 different winners?

So are you arguing that he was so dominant that no one else could hold a candle or that his competition was substandard?

    Enough sarcasm.

From halfway through MM's first season it was obvious, barring burn out or injuries that he will one day be the "GOAT". The former seems unlikely and I hope the latter does not eventuate and he takes the unofficial title from who ever the fuck people think holds it now.

It depends on how you choose to interpret GOAT.

    Wins
What that person brings to the sport
    Sponsorship power
    Bike sales
    Titles across multiple manufacturers
    Overcome adversity

I have some mates who are avid Rossi fans (yeah, I still like them), and they think that regardless of if MM wins more GP Titles, he'll never be the GOAT - because he hasn't done all the things that Rossi has.

I personally don't think you can have a greatest of all time.
    Just greatest of an era.

Well the issue is 'Greatest what of all time'

    Greatest racer?
    Greatest marketing tool?
    Greatest business man?

With context, he is a racer, so it makes sense to use 'Greatest GP Racer of all time'...

Actually, with context, he is every one of the things you cited as examples, and more - which is their point

If I were to try and take their position and offer it a different way I would say:

Within the bounds of MotoGP and everything that entails - he is The GOAT.

Who cares about finding something wrong about a great racer? Everyone that competes in GP or top international level is a major player and so worthy of respect
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: "Wahoo!! What a ride!"

It's funny lots of people give Scott Redding shit for being slow (me included)...sure he's 1.5 seconds/lap slower than Marquez, but over a 90 second lap that's less than 2% slower.

Still making him one of the fastest riders in the world.
