    Probably 2 of the LEAST desirable Italian bikes ever created after the Bimota VeeDue and Mantra.

    That episode was a snoozer. I'm sure the Misano trip will be good though. Not near enough breakdowns yet.

    They’re pretty to look at.

    Pretty to ride too. Pretty shit that is.

    I’d rather something a bit ugly but reliable

    Eh? I'd farkin' love a VeeDue, nothing wrong there that a couple of carb's won't fix.

    999S? I'll plead the 5th, I have something far too genetically close for comfort.

    Mantra? A-fuggin'-men!

    Hahaha beaten to the punch by CbrRider :p

    How good do those roads look! I'm now dreaming of being able to go over there and carving through mainland Europe, hell, probably go all the way up to the Isle of Man and do a few laps. It would be to either rent a nice modern sport bike and get all the support that comes with a rental (break down coverage) or buying something cheap and going for a real adventure... no prize for guessing my lotto dream

    Going back a few years when some of these bikes tested by 44Teeth, were still new;

    Going off memory here, I think Ronnie was killed in an accident whilst riding a scooter to the local take-away, which sounds incredible considering what he used to get up to.

    Think his mate Gus Smith died on the Isle of Man.

    They were different times, I used to read that mag back in the day too.

    I drove some of those roads in a Merc a couple of years ago, the whole time wishing I was on a bike, but still had an awesome time. Germany -> Switzerland -> Lake Como etc etc

    Gus Scott's passing was very dangerous for the TT as he died when he collided with a track marshal that was not where she should have been and was. She was entered the track to assist another rider with a mechanical when Gus arrived.

    Pretty sure she was found at fault and had she lived would have been found guilty of unlawful killing. This was back in 2005.
