& using both sides of your leg muscles, pushing forward and applying back pressure to slow down.

i hopped off it the other day with one foot still on a pedal as you do on a normal bike and nearly went over the bars lol bloody bicycles are a menace to society!

like a saw one this morning down clayton st in midland, there is a clear cycle lane on both sides, but this guy still had to ride in the middle of the road

In those circumstances are we not allowed to run them down? If they insist on riding on the road and having a degree of courtesy afforded then they should reciprocate...https://www.facebook.com/SingleFileP...200433/?type=3

Had a situation this morning on Marine Pde in Cottesloe with all the cars parked on the left and islands as the median strip.

Came up on a cyclist and no way had 1metre to clear him so slowed accordingly to wait, he saw I was there and swerved into a gap in the parked cars to let me through.

Older bloke in king gee shorts and tee shirt, onya mate.

road train came within inches of her handlebars.
no real idea of how close so use a small unit of measurement to make it more dramatic. should have said millimetres.

She said the “suck effect” caused by the truck forced her to swerve towards the roadside.

“When a truck goes past that close you feel like you are being sucked in so I had to pull my bike over - I almost hit my friend,” she said.
she was far more wobbly before the truck went past. to the point of swerving out onto the road into the trucks path.

“It was scary but it is definitely not the first time it has happened,” she said.

“It pushed home how dangerous it is out there.
lucky you werent on a R6 then huh?. but yes it is dangerous out there. because you are riding a push bike on the road where cars are and doing it well under the posted speed limit.

i suppose the next thing will be runners / power walkers taking up a whole lane of the highway and getting their own 1m rule.

“It is also aggression, people yelling abuse,” she said
its because you are riding slow as fuck on the road impeding traffic.

“People wait behind and respect cyclists - it is part of their culture, it needs to be part of ours.

fuck me. thats it. all speed limits should now be 20 to make everyone as slow as a cyclist.

Regardless of if she was wrong or right, did the truck driver really have to be a dick and get so close? Would the truck driver still have come so close if that was his wife or daughter on the bike?

People need to relax a little and treat everyone with some respect, treat those in the car next to you or the bike on the road as if you know them.

Yes, we dont want to run people over but you need to look at the vid again. Not 'inches' at all. The truck was definitely more than a metre away until she swerved out of her lane without even a headcheck before she did it.

The truck had even crossed the centre to avoid it.

Was this all a setup by cyclenazis?

    DO I need my Alihat?

So 2018, seeing as people are still content on having a vent/whinge

Id like to propose if you have had an interaction with the a cyclist, whether good or bad, please have a whinge/vent/thumbs up in this thread.

I reckon it would be interesting to get real world feel(at least from this forum) of how cyclist have actually impacted you.
