Yes it is, the photo was taken late 1979/1980 at the back of the guest house which was on the same road that formed the bend for the race circuit on the beach at bunbury.

I still miss the old girl, the guy I sold her to has brought her round the clock. I sold it at 87,000k's so I know she is getting well taken care of and still being ridden around Perth. Was an absolute beast and incredibly stable in the corners.

Not mine as I don't have any pics (well maybe 35mm film ones somewhere?) it was an 83 CB750F in black but with red/white/red stripes much like this vvvv
Also mine had gold wheels and the PO had fitted a 900F motor

Crashed it and rebuilt it a few times over the ~9 years I had it and must have put over 100 000km's on the old girl

I owned a 1983 Honda VT250F as my first bike for 12 months before upgrading to a 1986 Suzuki GSXR750

Fantastic bike and fun to ride, even if my fingertips got pins and needles after 20kms

I used to ride it as a daily into the city for two years, before it was stolen from home one night

My first big bike ? I regard my old SXV as my first big bike, but my first non-LAMS bike was my gorgeous 2011 Daytona 675R. It was my companion, my commuter workhorse, my FNR weapon of choice, my warp speed country run rocket, my pussy magnet, my corner cutting scalpel, and my favourite bike ever. It was in every sense of the word *mine*

I bought it with 8000kms on the clock, and over 2 years I took that up to 60,000. We shared good times like track days, country runs with no number plate, group rides, and burbs bashes.. but also had a few bad times, like hitting a kerb at 100+, breaking down on the freeway in peak hour traffic, thousands of 'random' breath tests, and unfortunately ending it all with the bike being stolen from me.

An unforgettable step-up from LAMS to non-LAMS, I hope to one day be reunited with my old bike. You never forget your first

    Rest in Peace

I really like the bike gareth_oau the way you describe the pins and needles in your fingertips is exactly what i get after riding my gsx750f which uses the same enginge as yours from 1998 till 2006 they say the early ones were detuned then actually reworked to produce more power in the later model gsx750f bikes.

And like you say they vibrate, between 90 to 130 the road tests say the vibes are definitely uncomfortable and also why suzuki added weight to the footpegs as well i get a sore backside and thighs from the buzzing on mine sometimes i think i must have a broken engine mount the previous owner used a lambs wool seat cover it was that bad, anyway at least yours handled well on good suspension ,frame and tyres.

The gsx750f wallows through bumpy bends like a hoola hoop dancer unless it is billiard table smooth.
But mine has grown on me and if you can stay on the seat over bumps most throw me and i am 115 kg it can actually corner, just got to get it past 7000 rpm something wrong with the fuel supply.
