    ktm 525 exc costing noise

so i have a strange clunk sound when the bikes coasting to a stop its hard to pin point if its engine or rear end its allmost like the chains hitting something in the same spot as it completes a full rotation but havnt been able to replicate the sound on the stand

has anyone experienced something similar with the rfs motor in these bikes

Have you checked for any sticking links on the chain? On my last chain it would get quite noisy when not under load due to several stuck links but was fine under acceleration, especially as it went over the front sprocket
