    Causeway Kawasaki is closing down

I hadn't seen any news on here, but apparently causeway kawasaki is closing down.

I needed to drop by for some swingarm spools and they had a few signs up. Not sure when the final date is though.

yep its all true, millway corp.. best way to make 1 million dollars was to start with 10

and i bet all the retards in charge are still there thinking there shit don't stink & its all the fault of the customers, would be a nice documentary to see how perth's biggest bike shop fell to nothing and buying highway yamaha for money then closing it down

hmmmm might need to swing by and see if they have any discounts at the moment. Some of my gear is showing its age so could be a good time to upgrade and change over a few things.

    The Banana's are $14k and $16k.

They are shutting the doors at the end of the month. Generally they have knocked about 20% off everything accessories wise.

Didn't try and haggle but might go back in a week and see what is left and wave some bitcoin cash around.

Those bananas i presume you mean katanas are only average certainly not pristine they are original however ,i only seen one katana and the 1985 gsxr750 from memory there the other day.
The price on the katana is overboard in my view six months ago a guy in my street bought a brand new 2016 blue gsxr1000 in the crate from the local Suzuki dealer for $15,000 ,who would pay $14,000 to $16,000 for a 1981 bike ,i really don't know who is setting the prices on bikes these day's, if it was $3000.00 to 5,000.00 maximum what i reckon they are worth i would have bought it off them the other day myself.

They were only around 3,500.00 in 1981 brand new.

    Sad news IMHO.

I always had a positive experience with Jade in the parts department and Norm was always a straight talker...no problem with that myself.

Price/valuation is whatever is agreed between the seller and the buyer.

If supply is greater than demand then price will be lower and vice versa.

Given the age of the katana and that it was a landmark bike in its day it will take on a collectible status seeing prices continue to rise

Not sure...I only know him from Causeway but if you were interested in buying a bike his price was usually the best he could offer right up front, no BS back-n-forth.

I heard that another Kawasaki dealer is interested in the showroom....hope so... then they just need to get rid of the fat bastards err...blasters... next door. Also I was told, a few years back, that the stupid council didn't want all the used bikes parked outside the showrooms....apparently it lowered the tone of the neighbourhood...wankers!

This is very true, they had to shrink them to just parked outside their showroom and provide parking, never the same after that

Only met the people the other day the owner and his wife and the sales guy ,very nice people the lady sold me the draggins jeans and the son bought a heap of gear ,sorry to see any business go these day's.
If parking was a problem for vic park or the city of perth not sure which council they are under then they should go to melbourne no problems parking over there ,with around a dozen motorcycle dealers and shops in central melbourne including this one peter stevens motorcycles.
