Orrong Rd is a nightmare best avoided...hope riders are OK or on the way to getting there
Smoke me a kipper...I'll be home in time for breakfast
I wonder whether they were splitting up to lights or someone cut one of them off ,quite a dangerous stretch of rd that between gt eastern hwy and oats street lights ,there have been many crashes there for as long as i can remember over the last 40 years.
I rarely split on Orrong Road (either direction).
Just not worth it....people turning left.....but think they're driving a triple road train, and have to veer right before finally taking the left turn. Numpties who do their very best to squeeze that gap from you.
Fuck that.
Hope riders are ok.
Second hand report from a work colleague/witness, first on scene to assist, was apparently a standard car turning right in front of oncoming traffic.
Pretty common at this intersection but not enough deaths to warrant action.![]()

My wife called me when she saw it on her way home this arvo, first responders were there and ambo's enroute.
Heal fast rider, hope you get the best care available and great support from family and friends.
Only one down.

Hi PSB,
Turns out this was a close family friend of ours, a bloke my old man used to work with years ago. As chew said, car turned right across him, nowhere to go. He got his leg jammed between the bike and car while the rest of him kept going. Leg is pretty bad, 50/50 whether or not they can save it. Foot is like a bag of confetti and the leg is pretty much filleted from knee down and not much skin left to work with. Long road ahead.
Damn Roy that sounds very very nasty. Wishing him all the best!
Cheers for the well wishes, dudesI'll pass them on

oh damn. That is not good at all. Best wishes to him please Roy![]()
i feel for him.. best wishes on a full recovery
you don't realise how nasty the front of a car can be when it smacks into your leg, i only had a small car park bender with one at low speed and that sucked
I'll let the bloke at work know, he was quite horrified by it and was one of the first two to reach him on the deck.

Yeah, I haven't seen him yet, not sure I want to either. Might wait til he goes home.
Cheers to your colleague for his help, chew![]()
Best wishes to the rider and first responders.
Good luck to your young friend Roy.
Not much more to say on a forum.
Sounds nasty, best wishes to the rider.
