I'm so poor! I come from a poor family, the butler's poor, the maid's poor, the gardener's poor. Even our gamekeeper is poor.

I believe his post is on topic despite it drifting from the original specific post. You may find the 'old days' are more than something to reminisce about when there are even fewer jobs requiring you to work longer hours because there are ten or more people waiting to take it who are.

Mentioned somewhere in these posts is a need to get back some manufacturing and if necessary to do so by taxing all of the rubbish we import. Many say its impossible...they may be right but unless we do so the future will only look rosy for the greedy few. The mining boom is a really a joke as the money earned by Australia is massively offset by imports and loss of jobs those imports end up causing.

The whole story's a bullshit excuse. Time of day. Speed.

Who picks up speed when they are falling asleep?

My nice biased picture of the crash has not changed. A guy with white knuckles doing 100+ and a pulsing vein across his beetroot forehead screaming GTFouttamyway and it all turning to shit on him.

On the rich get richer shit? Times are tight. Had to let the cashy foreign student cleaner go and rely on the roomba. Gardener, manicurist and masseuse stay but hey, some things are necessary in life.

If you fall asleep and your muscles relax you could maybe have your leg become dead weight that pushes the pedal further down? In theory I suppose.

Just from experience. That micro sleep thing for anyone who has experienced it? Nothing much changes with the body. You just drift off literally. Never had a crash but the moment of regaining control is an eye opener and a lesson in when it starts happening, stop and nanny nap. Or goey.

Ok on a bike. Nod off and the throttle rolls off, head dips forward and instant awake. What the Nullabor does to you at the speed limit. Over and over again.

You can see how reliant we are in retail and mining visit mandurah, second highest unemployment area in the country. They have been doing up the shopping centre so lots of people lost their job its coming back very slowly since they have finished half of the place but theres alot of houses on the market aswell as business that are empty or open but have no customers.

Also what shit me was you couldn't even get a job building the shopping centre or the aquatic centre as they already had guys coming from perth.

Take a ride out Belmont sometime...most if not all of the industry is gone....empty factories everywhere...service industries popping up faster than toadstools causing massive over supply...same happened to Osborne Pk.

Yet they keep building industrial areas when there is a oversupply of buildings already.

They would have spent half a billion on those two projects alone but you couldnít get work because they already had guys.

Statistics. Look at the bigger picture. More youths leaving school early with no job to go to. Also, very high percentage of early retirees.
Now do the homework properly, number of employees versus area density minus those that chose to not work.
Not saying the situation isn't a problem, more that there are much worse places than your figures suggest.

Those figures were from ABS pretty sure it doesn't account for early retirees.
Im sure there is plenty that do want to work but there isn't enough work for the current workforce coupled with the youth of today are feral.

Part of the issues are places like Belmont/Osb Pk is they have been built out/around and heavily restricted on what can be done there and what vehicles can access the area and when (ie heavy vehicles) plus rents have gone through the roof due to property values/rates etc so it all gets pushed to the fringes similar to public housing
Plus a lot of the buildings in those areas are quite old and small and without major $ spent on upgrading all the stuff inside to current codes makes them workable to modern industries they aren't as appealing to new renters

I'd say Wangara is in a better position due to having grown much bigger/quicker than housing has built up Malaga may be going the same way although they have some room to go east with the more non retail stuff even though it's getting crowded near Alexander Dr Also it's not as close to the CBD so property values aren't quite as high I'd imagine

Lots of people harp on about wanting close access to industrial areas for supply of materials/services etc but baulk at actually living next to the very areas that supply the materials/services

I was told very bad advice buy in a industrial area, no thanks its undesirable land.
The further away you go which doesn't need to be that great and the value increases.

Nothing wrong with unions when your getting f*cked by bosses, whatís wrong is when there used for chasing more money when there already on good money or stupid shit like flavour of ice cream.
