Just wasn't putting power to the wheel.
RPM @ 5k in first gear barely breaking 30km/h
Went through one roundabout before quitting.

Typing this as he loads up.

    He's not compressing the forks

    Clutch slip..???

OK a quick google only has 1 hit for clutch slip.. slave cylinder pushes a rod that goes over to the right of the bike to operate the clutch

seems crap builds up on the rod and it sticks leading to no drive if it's bad enough..

Slave cyl off remove/clean up rod..grease put back in all good

That's of course that it hasn't just fukd the clutch plates already.. here's hoping they're all ok..

There's only 4000km on the clock right now so there's probably not a lot of crap in there and there was no problem shifting and the lever felt fine.

Still under warranty so I'll see what the dealer thinks

Clutch is not covered under warranty. They're saying the clutch fluid level was too high and didn't allow the clutch to fully engage.

4000km bikes don't need new clutches. If it needs a new clutch that's warranty.

    You need a second opinion.

Fluid level can rise for a number of reasons and the solution could be as simple as draining off a little fluid. If you're not a mechanic you need to talk to one that didn't sell you the bike.

    I thought I smelled a rat.......high fluid
Where did the extra fluid come from to make it high....?
Clutch slip just happens....nah It would take a while for slip to fuck the plates...
Resident mobile mechanic is your best bet
    Ditto on second opinion......

How much mileage have you put on it and how long since you bought it...as stated a crock of shit...yes wear items are not covered faulty ones are...get in touch with consumer affairs would be my advice.
