I was a little disappointed it could only match my 900 supersport on a drag.

The SXV has power but the light weight was the thing. Mosman park golf course. The river run. The boardwalk. Gallop house stairs. That thing was ballistic.

    Chariot of the gods?

Until it pisses hot oil all over your foot. Funnest bike I ever owned, when it worked.

I'm thinking of selling it, it's got way to much power for me.

    Want to buy it back?

Have you ridden either? The CBR600 is for shorties like yourself, the 675 isn't bad for taller people. Although you can get all shapes and sizes on either if you're keen enough.

I chose a tricked up GSXR600. Sounded like a bridge ported rotary at idle and a Formula One car at high RPM. Class leading torque for wheelies (which I'm entirely shit at).

Consider that there are ex-track bikes on the market in that price range.

TBH I went from the CBR500 to a ZX12 and decided it was dumb to keep 2 bikes so I sold the CBR500 but then there were so many times I wish I kept it and sold the ZX12. My next Aussie bike will probably be whatever 1L is on clearance, be it a gsx1000r, r1, cbr1000rr, zx10r or whatev. Probably not a Ducati because they seem expensive to maintain.

*edit and holy fuck 55kg do you even lift bro?

Before offering any advice I will require more information in the form of a photograph of your rear tyre...

There are people on another thread waiting for the law to come through where they can do exactly that go from a lams bike such as a yamaha yb100 to a ducati 1299 panigale on an unrestricted licence obtained with no test in the mail.

Unfortunately many can't see the problem with that.

The 500 has wide tyres for its size but used up mostly (5mm from edge)

Mate is actually looking to sell his 2014 Daytona 675R soon, its sitting at my place whilst he is away. Great bike, he's short as well so his toes just touch the ground at traffic lights.

I feel I sit higher on that than I do on my R1.

There's a nice BMW S1000RR for sale at the moment on the forums too.

    (Please teach me wheelies).

What sort of riding do you like doing? Commuting? Relaxed country rides? Fast country Rides? mostly track days? Short rides to coffee? Long Rides to lunch destinations? Overnight/Weekender rides?

Rather than tell you which is a good bike based on knowing little of how or what you intend to use it for, if you can help us know what you intend to use it for, we might be able to identify something that can do a few things well, and be minimal compromise for the reminder.

No problem with it. As long as they donít write themselves off and sell it cheap when they either loose their licence or it just scares the living shit out of em....
