    I think we'll find that that's a typo
    they got it backwards
    Should read
Speed restrictions from the exit of turn 3 to the entry of turn 2
Note: this may not be the universe where the above is relevant.

Turn 7's lack of run off, turn 6 has seen a fatal, nothing wrong with esses, the right hander at the top of the hill where the old pits used to be is an opportunity to run out of track, overall its a top bike track.

I had the pleasure of riding 5 tracks in NZ recently and many of the private car tracks had placed bollards on the parts they wanted to slow the bike traffic to avoid hitting close walls. It just adds a different challenge doing an extra S twist and was a condition of hire as the private tracks were designed for cars and they could not accept bikes unless risks were managed.
Being an S bend to start with, it will be interesting to find out how they are going to slow the traffic as they would want to avoid any bollard that pushes the rider closer to the wall. Great that it is finally progressing though.
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: "Wahoo!! What a ride!"

I see Sports Minister Mick Murray voicing his opinion on Barbs in the media, must of been some barbs at the meeting back in January.

Sports Minister Mick Murray ‘flipped bird’ at race fans

    Daniel Mercer The West Australian
    Wednesday, 30 May 2018 4:12AM

"Sports Minister Mick Murray has been accused of “flipping the bird” and yelling angrily at motorsports enthusiasts campaigning to have Barbagallo Raceway reopened to motor-cycle racing.

The allegations are in a complaint made to Premier Mark McGowan about Mr Murray’s behaviour at a meeting in January where he is alleged to have become enraged about a forthcoming rally. The meeting was held to discuss options for the Wanneroo track, which has been closed to motorcycle racing since Chris Adley, 21, died in a motorcycling accident in late 2016.

In the complaint, Kevin McWilliams from We Need Our Track Back claimed Mr Murray became progressively agitated, allegedly saying he was “pissed off” that various groups associated with the Barbagallo track had been unable to find a solution to its problems. According to Mr McWilliams, Mr Murray “raised his voice to the point of shouting” and argued “the best solution at Barbagallo Raceway is to bulldoze it and build houses there”.

He said Mr Murray then “turned his attention on me” before claiming the rally organisers were “out to get him”.

“The minister then went on further to state that ‘we’ (the motorcycle and racetrack stakeholders) blamed the Government for this situation and yet don’t communicate between ourselves and haven’t found a solution — and then ‘we’ come back to the Government for help,” Mr McWilliams wrote.

“(At) this point the minister went on to ‘flip the bird’ in my direction (and) said ‘that’s what you’ll get’.”

Mr Murray said while “it is not our practice to comment on the nature or content of confidential discussions”, he denied he had acted inappropriately at the meeting. He described the talks as “robust” and admitted he had become frustrated but said this had been driven by the stakeholders’ “lack of action” over re-licensing the track.

“I reject the allegation that the minister ‘flipped the bird’ to anyone at the meeting. This claim is, quite simply, untrue,” Mr Murray said.

He insisted Barbagallo “will continue to be a key piece of infrastructure” for motorsports in WA."

I guess it needs to be accepted there is nothing that government is going to do and it is up to the sporting community to resolve it.

Well back to the usual bullshit...

How about Yay! Goodonya MCRCWA MWA! Really it is great news. We can go back to Wanneroo and with Collie and maybe Peel/serpentine, instead of none we now have choices.

I remember a lot of people in my social circles complaining that Barbagallo was too far away, and then as soon as we lost it they complained the same about Collie. I don't think any solution is good enough for the casual track user, whereas those of us who are interested will go wherever. You're right though, it is good news. Hopefully it means that motorsport will be a bit more on the radar of the powers that be, and that within the next few years we can get something newer and far safer.
    Rest in Peace

that's all the northern suburbs needs more fucking houses, which would result in pinjar & the kart track getting shut down also

sounds like Mr Murray has his fingers in many property development pies

but a race track with a speed limit... what a joke, sounds as exciting as one of those rallies where you have to arrive at a certain time. should limit it to 125cc while they are at it

I wonder how many people are going to be embarrassed to find they are already under the limit between T2 and T3 and that they are unable to break it.

It's amazing the transformation from bush to endless houses(where do all these people work?) that's happened in the Pinjar area the last 10-15 years.

I'd say Mr Murray has "belled the cat" insofar as the track is concerned, it's only a matter of time.

Might be time to build a completely new "world class" venue with the inevitable big name sponsor.

FFS, if the Spanish, Portuguese & Thais can do it....
