--removed poorly thought out comment on rear facer at the track--

To only go ahead and post this..pointless.. eh?

oh where was I.....? " The Go-Pro is on the tail..." hence the bike is riding away from the "Indefinite Revenue Stream Device"

totes respect your opinion tim, but my goal in making this thread was to avoid this type of discussion entirely. We had pages and pages of it in the last thread and got nowhere.
Fair enough, I was replying to a comment designed to be antagonistic, I shouldn't have bothered. I still hope the other option for the esses gets considered to allow racing to return.

The old rule of thumb was, 1kph faster on all 7 corners was roughly worth about 1 second off your lap time.

An A Grader can be expected to lap at 56sec/lap (yes they have gone faster, but 56 about ball park).

    A 61sec C-Grader would take it down to 105kph.

The 'old' 72sec lap time required for a license would take it to 94kph

72 seconds is probably middle ground in Group 3 Trackdays?

Is that like when they say "Anyone doing a wheelie will be banned". And everyone goes and does wheelies.

The cancellation is now on the MCRCWA stalkbook page. Email said:

"It is with much regret that I announce the cancellation of the Ridedays WA event that was to occur on the 23rd of June at Barbagallo.

Despite being able to source the required air-fence, as well as getting a specially worded permit from MWA at the request of the WASCC CEO, on the 29th of May the WA Sporting Car Club Board met and voted against any organisation being able to run an event under the MA Phase 2 Track License."

EDIT: The facebook page notice says that there may still be possibility of sorting out the problem.
Just that 23 June is off.

Survival of the sport should have precedence over survival of the club. Very sad! Shame the changes required could not be implemented.
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: "Wahoo!! What a ride!"

It might be something as simple as the drift cars being booked on the 23rd

Makes you wonder if the rest of the country's racing fraternity just laugh and laugh at WA's ineptness. Couldn't organise a bun fight in a bakery.

From my previous conversations to the ASBK team drivers and privateers at the SA/WA border , there are more than a few who are happy that they won't be coming over here to race for the foreseeable future.

How many years are left on the Supercar contract??

    * Late edit: My criticism is not directed entirely at the smaller user and track management communities, but also the members of Parliament, asstd Govt. offices and DSR/Planning.
Their insanity in compliance and lack of support has directed private investment far away from our shores, towards the more progressive states with an eye to the future and are unlikely to return...

Sventek, being a predominantly lazy fuck can you please purchase some for me, bring me the stuff, create something I want after you think of it for me then clean my house, wash my car, dog, bike breathe for me.

OK... my shift to Phillip Island was meant to be temporary so I guess I should make it permanent eh? It is a fun place to live

Don't buy into the guesswork. I'm REALLY hoping Tim posts in this thread soon to stop the rumour mill... hopefully just a temporary glitch.
