    new bikes in real life.

I was having a chat about honda not making exciting looking bikes anymore. My view came from reading the magazine and bike show images.
By chance I walked into Honda Joondalup yesterday, as looking for a bike and was confronted by the tallest bike ever, the Africa twin sport in retro blue, white & red. I ride dirt bikes and use to tall bike but this is the most imposing bike I've seen in years. Really stunning but magazine & web shots do not do it justice.

Turned around and the saw Honda CB1000r. Bland with few shiny bits was my impression from magazines. Not in real life. short squat, muscle and fun. love it

Then over the shoulder of the Africa another bike which stopped me dead, the HUsky vitpilen in white. I dismissed this vitpilan from magazine photos and could not see what the fuss was about its styling, but standing next to one it is simply stunning and looks the most fun bike ever. Love the tank & seat panels. I want one..

Looking at custom bike scene images from bikeexif, pipeburn etc they make custom bikes look amazing in the photos and I'm drooling over them. Look on Honda website and both bikes which stunned me in the shop look bland in the internet. If they want to sell more bikes they need better art folk. Same with the Yamaha R6 its beautiful and delicate in cullys and 'yeah another sports bike' on the website.

A lot of things are like that. I look in the mirror and think I'm bloody gorgeous, yet people say that in photos I look like a half-chewed minty

Does Joondalup have a Vitpilen 701 in stock or just the baby one?

New CB1000R looks horn, cafe/retro cross with muscle/streetfighter:

When people are talking about lack of excitement, they mean to ride mostly.
“Crashing is shit for you, shit for the bike, shit for the mechanics and shit for the set-up,” Checa told me a while back. “It’s a signal that you are heading in the wrong direction. You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

The neo sports cafe line, and the new sv650, look like proper bikes. I swear half of Yamaha’s lineup was designed by ssangyong.

This sort of angry alien “focus group styling” will date extremely quickly IMO

The internet does that to a lot of things.

I was listening to various exhausts for my bike, trying to compare the sound of them on Youtube. I eventually picked out one, the Akrapovic and the youtube videos do not sound anything like the real thing.

Same with Boobies. The one's on your GF always look better than the ones on the internet.

I seen this bike yesterday at the bmw dealer in Victoria park a beautiful motorcyle based on the r90 s which were giant beaters on the track as a real world sportster i think it would be hard to beat in my view .

Mate stick to the facts not a fantasy.

So it's basically the opposite of realestate, coz they sure make houses look good in pictures, while in person it's actually a canvas tent with greige paint
