Hard to stay on topic with all the blancmange around...
    Back on topic...

I always thought costs can only be awarded against the state where negligence or malice can be proven against police or prosecutor.

You'd bankrupt the state if every "not guilty" resulted in the state paying the defendant's costs.

Just curious when they became the 'Police Force' again? I thought they dropped that term due to the negative slant it created?

Did they drop it again? They went from "service" to "force" in the 90's IIRC.

I really like "business units". That takes the cake. How to further stigmatise rank and file members.
    Police Farce for sure.

C'mon man didn't you know hashtags are so old school now, even Instawank is cutting back on them

Earlier in the year, Instagram published a post addressing some issues with the hashtag search, advising users to focus on business goals & objectives rather than hashtags for their social media marketing. Now, thatís not a formal announcement saying the hashtag is dead but the subtext sure feels like: Ďstop with the hashtag spamming, god dammit!í

Whilst I might not like individuals spamming posts with tonnes of hashtags anyway, I have to admit that - from a brand marketing perspective - it massively expands the reach of your post, gets you decent engagement and even grows your followers a little.

But, recently, it seems like no matter how many relevant hashtags we use or the quality of our captions, posts for both our clients and our personal accounts have lower engagement than normal. One of our clients was averaging around 50 per post, and is now receiving no more than 10 per post.

I've been guilty of forgetting to do the strap once or twice when interrupted during the course of chucking all the gear on. I would have thought if it was noticed, that common sense would prevail and a quick, "hey mate, get that strap sorted" would have sufficed. A car beeps when the seatbelt isn't in, so fair enough to cop it for that. A helmet doesn't beep, so seems rather special on the policeman issuing it. Unfortunately a few out there are keen to exercise their power sticks first and foremost.

Has the stickering changed recently whereby its no longer required? Recall hearing from somewhere that a lot of newer helmets don't require the sticker anymore?

Do a lot of the bikie helmets even pass? They seem to cover so little of the head at times.

Bankrupt? Nah, that's what new legislation, taxes and fines are for.

Wait til they start giving people $3k for the phone use and they then start using that to justify increasing other fines.
