    Help needed with gsxr750 height

Hi guys, so I bought a 08 gsxr750 unseen, which had previously been lowered. I was told it was returned to stock height in the rear. The seat height is at about 770mm so still 40mm lower than standard even though it's on the highest setting on the aftermarket rear links.

How can I get this back to stock height as cheaply and safely as possible? I can't find a second hand stock rear link anywhere. Ive msgd Marty Moose to see if he can help but he's not replying (does he still do suspension set ups?)

Can someone recommend an aftermarket rear link that has a true stock height setting? Or does someone have a spare stockiest they'll offload for me? Even happy to swap my lowering links for stock if need direct swap.

Someone please help, I bought this bike because of its handling, but I need to get it back to stock before I can start fine tuning for my riding and comfort.

    Cheers

Will pm you my mobile number, its funny having ridden it i actually feel more at home on my old gsx750f but i find it takes me around a month to feel at home on a new bike.
I think you will be happy with the 08 same bike as the 09 the brakes are excellent but the yoshi pipe is fairly quiet with the cat.

Cool cheers mate I'll keep an eye out for the message. I love the gsxr750 they're a great bike. That's why I bought one. Just need to get this suspension set back up and I'll be away laughing. Funny. Mines got the full Yoshi system and I find it's bloody loud. Would probably have preferred the cat and Yoshi slip on set up

    Easiest way:

    https://www.findapart.com.au/request_parts

You'll get responses from wreckers Australia wide. The bits you need won't be expensive and they're small so postage will be cheap.

This one is running the cat so it is quieter it needs the center pipe, what impresses me is the linear power delivery at least at first i love the colour pearl white
Do you have yours now if so bring it around tomorrow night i live near the beach in secret harbour not far from you.
I think loud is right the wreckers is probably the way to go from my experience with suzuki from the micro fiche days in jollimont to now they sold parts as assemblies it may have changed by now, we can get suzuki parts at trade prices explain that tomorrow but a replacement linkage if the wrecker will split the assembly would be the way to go.

I have the catalogs for just about every big suzuki ever made since the mid 70's here is the 2005 suzuki catalog i think they have a pretty similar seat height.

    Thanks for all that mate

Yep just saw catalog photos. K8 lists as 810mm like you said other day. I want to reset bike to stock height before tweaking suspension. I just want the original geometry to start with, as lowered im missing out on initial turn in and direction changes, but gain stability (which I don't need). I think I'll get the ratedr kit as getting OEM from a wrecker is proving frustrating, Unless someone around here has a stock linkage floating around

If you drink at the vernon arms on the weekend there are some uk guys that raced in the uk that know a fair bit about setting bikes up just introduce yourself and someone will help you the chase is another pub they go to.

Suspension is not my thing i have a few mates down south who used to set my bikes up, i do build my own engines myself and we have a master tech mechanic in the family who was offered a job at porsche the other day who can probably help you in fact most of the guys around here are mechanics.
