    Pit inspection GSX R 1000 k9 (Exhaust + Fender)

    Hi,

I have to put my bike through inspection. GSXR 1000 2009, and I got aftermarket pipes and fender , just wonder if anyone still got the OEM dual exhaust and fender (Pay for the Favour) a Carlton of beer or similar .

    Hit me Up .

    TIA

All I can see is you have put a target on yourself by having a noisy exhaust and fender eliminator.

The target was there the second he jumped on two wheels.

How loud are the pipes? If reasonable you might get through with them on. And a bucket lid fender extender

Agreed, I've managed to get a bike to pass the pits with some fibre glass wadding shoved up its ass to keep the noise down. It wasn't pretty and the inspector wasn't impressed, but I asked him; "Is it too loud?" to which he replied no, and at that point his hands were somewhat tied. This was about a decade ago though.

And a clipboard screwed to the back of the bike will often do the job of a fender.

No matter what manner of fix you employ do NOT take the bike to licensing/inspection centre, but rather to a registered garage to have the sticker removed.

Can you get a baffle for the aftermarket pipes? My z1000 has a full akra system which itself isnt really THAT loud but it came with a baffle that makes it crazy quiet, not so much at idle but you rev it up like wow this is barely louder than stock.

Depending on the muffler you may want to hold the glass in with a bit of crunched up chookwire to stop it blowing out. If adventurous, use steel wool.
