Fixed speed camera pic.. with multiple vehicles in shot?

has anyone contested a speeding fine from one of the fixed speed cameras on the freeway when there was multiple vehicles in the picture... and won?
there's no other vehicle in the box but two vehicles in adjacent lanes... how does the camera know which one was speeding?

As said, no getting out of this one. Other moving objects need to be in the detection box.

Unless you can find out if it's one of the faulty ones that has since been taken out of service?

Poliscan uses a scanning LIDAR that tracks all the vehicles over a distance and pinpoints any speeding vehicle.

Yours looks perfect. I'm pretty sure the line under your lic plate is where the laser was on your bike when photo taken. Narrow box means it was tracking a bike.

You're not local? Surprising anyone gets a fine from that camera. Sticks out like dogs balls in a desert.

This is why you put vehicles under a company name.

Twice the fine, but no points.
One owner. Only driven gently on Sundays. Sold to best offer. First to see will buy. Reward offered for safe return. Coming soon to a cinema near you. Available for a limited time only.

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.

While I agree with both of you, it still amazes me that pretty much every time I'm heading up that section of the freeway past the camera, there's someone speeding.

I honestly had no idea that camera or the one in Stirling were there until about 2 weeks ago :s Up until now I must have been lucky enough to be obscured by cars!

lucky that safety camera was there to take a photo and let you know a few weeks later.

imagine if it was not there the amount of people you would have killed

But people buy the bullshit. A quick glance through comments on FB or Perth Now articles is evidence enough of that...

I am surprised the business (make money) is enough to have that camera there, surely very few get a 'safety letter' in the mail from this device.

I also wonder if it is legal as it is on a downhill decline.... just thinking out loud.

Yes, but those who are not open minded and are instead easily led are ironically the hardest to convince otherwise. A case of the easily led plus those apathetic to the issue = majority rules and so speed cameras continue. And let's be honest, while we can see through the bullshit, we're not actively doing anything about opening peoples eyes other than posting comments on FB, Perth Now etc., which we know does nothing to change people's viewpoints given it is a pretty black and white area for people. Just like no amount of posting in the positive for speed cameras will change our viewpoint. Speed cameras have just become part of the accepted roadside scenery.
