    That's serious...

    Test show it could happen ... but would take mounting the cable in a hacksaw frame and worrying the tank for over 16 hours with a section of metal sharpened with a grinder..

    So yeh ...straight to the dealer for a longer cable...duh!

    Italian...

    We know this does happen. You can buy a kit for $xxxx, which might turn up after 8 weeks, then you can pay the shop $xxxx to install it. It may fix the issue.

    everyone buying these little "safe" bikes is killing the crazy death machine industry

    I pay less in insurance owning 2 'safe' bikes than I did owning 1 'dangerous' bike. I can see why people switch over now
