Brand new 2019 Harley Davidson models, bet you didn't see this coming

It's not very often Harley Davidson releases new bikes based on a new platform, new engines, or even goes outside it's regular "cruiser" segment, but that's what they're doing for 2019!

Notice water cooling or EV power

    The Pan-America

    The StreetFighter

The LiveWire EV bike (yes it's going into production)

    The Custom

Agreed, first HD I've liked the look of in a long time, maybe ever. Now to hear about how it rides, stiff competition from well established players in the segment, but I guess they can always excuse poorer performance in certain areas or even overall with their "but it's a HD! it has murican' heritage! it stands for freedom and bortherhood blah blah blah"

Yeah a tough gig dropping bikes into well established market segments that HD have not ventured into before, that already have a lot of competition who've been in the space and doing it well for a long time. But they really need to be doing this as their long time customer base of baby-boomers who are willing to send as much as the average family car, on a very average cruiser or tourer is shrinking fast.

Will be interesting to see how the LiveWire is received and sells. Yes I know there are some EV bikes on the market now, but not from one of the major manufacturers with such a large worldwide dealer network.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but , I think the street fighter looks really good ( I'll have to go back and look at some older Harley's to neutralise the dose)

What is the logic though. H-D cancels the Buel Ulysses, only to replace it with something that looks like a demoralized refridgerator?

Seriously that adv bike's headlight looks like a sad little robot.

It's about bloody time! After all those years of making excessively overweight bikes for road use they've finally gotten around to making the same bloated stuff for off-road use.

At last, someone at HD has taken a good look at a BMW bike and said, "I reckon we could make something heavier than that."

The front indicators built into the hand guards look lovely and cheap to replace, don't they?

Just imagine the thrilling sensation of the bike in front turning the throttle and possibly throwing up a stone or two...

In other news, HD announced today that if you drop their new adventure bike on its RH side it's going involve the selling of numerous body organs to wealthy Chinese to pay for the resulting damage to that lovely exhaust.

Clearly, engineering some sort of twin exhaust system out of harm's way was just too much of a challenge.

I wonder if HD will ever make a motocross bike, and if so, will it weigh less than 170kg.
One owner. Only driven gently on Sundays. Sold to best offer. First to see will buy. Reward offered for safe return. Coming soon to a cinema near you. Available for a limited time only.

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.

I gotta say I agree and I've never been a fan of Hardly Abelson, that one sort of reminds me of the Ducati Diavel The PA though is fucking hideous, almost makes a Busa appealing

    The Pan-America

    [/IMG]
The Pan American, that'll work, not bad. but did anyone else immediately think of this when they saw it?

its a 2 wheel F truck. i hope it comes with a snorkel option for soft sand, it'd go down deeper & faster than a Los Angeles class attack sub.

The street Fighter - yep that'll work, stop light launchpad.

The Livewire - yeh why not looks better than that thing that looks like your humping a bug or the "lets all ride something shaped like the letter O"

The custom - We all wanna stand out for the right reasons dont we ? perhaps not.

I wonder if these models are anything to do with them saying they are pushing some production to the EU ? they are very euro models, apart from the custom i'm not sure what happened there, Ducati scrambler on crack?
I cant help it if your perceptions don't match my reality

The opinions offered here are probably exactly what Harley were looking for, as a toe in the water exercise, now hopefully they'll listen and go and fix stuff up.

The "adventure" bike is just sad on so many levels, BUT the Streetfighter is passable indeed, the Custom I am unsure of.

    Livewire, just no
