Hi,
I have been on PSB for a few months. I have gained some good insights from the shared experiences of its members. I use the Whats New section to scan for relevant threads and have found PSB members to be really helpful.
I have been interested in motorcycle for a few years, but had very little to do with them prior to starting my L's. I low sided several bikes in Bali (before learning how to ride) and mostly avoided them. But, riding in Australia is completely different because of the road rules, higher speeds, number of vehicles on the road, etc. I am planning some motorcycle holiday trips though (Oman).
I bought a new motorcycle because I didn't know anyone who rides a motorcycle to involve them in my first purchase. Plus I preferred having the warranty from a dealer. I bought a Honda CB300F, which has been a great learner bike. As it was a new bike I discovered what breaking in a bike involves, which was based on what Youtube said. I had never owned a new vehicle before, so it got some special treatment. Like oil changes at 250Km and 500Km which is a bit overkill I admit. I am enjoying the easy access to bits and pieces on a motorcycle, compared to a car, sorry cage.
I look forward to joining some rides in the future, while I am still in Perth - as I am planning to relocate to Asia soon.
Cheers,
Shadowbike
