    pushbike - road, cheap

Looking for power/weight mods for zx6, so given I'm cracking the 100kg now, figure would go for the latter.
Tried gym last week, that was way too fuckin gay, so maybe a bike which can also get me to work n stuff.

Pushy shop recommended something over a grand, but this doesn't align with my objectives to be a tightarse and spend fuck all. Not super fussy, but nothing ridiculously heavy.
Apparently 59cm size would do me for a flat bar bike which I was looking at

contemplating this $300 thing on ebay, but nfi on quality

pm me, or post up pics/price/suggestions/whatever

i would go to the police auctions & try to get a sweet one for cheap.. https://www.auctions.com.au/auctions...html#catalogue

road pushys are expensive as fuck but the difference between a cheap POS & a good one is huge . even riding carbon wheels compared to standard is a huge difference.

i was 100kg, down to 88 riding the fixed gear from time to time & not drinking beer every day lol

and remember brakes are over rated

Now that you mention it, I've never seen a heterosexual at the gym.

I got myself a Giant City Cross 2, cost me around $600. Hybrid of a road bike and a mountain kinda (road bike frame with flat handlebars). Nothing flash, but a quality brand with shit needed to pedal around without being an over the top dickhead or a loser.

Tyres are the full size 700c road bike ones, but a bit wider so I can go on a dirt track shortcut if need be. I try and do 30-200km a week depending on life and stuff. Comfortable enough for me. I realised that tyres maketh the best, so make sure 700c and not too wide or you have to work way too hard. With mine, I can cruise along with the guys that wear lycra quite easily, whereas others on mountain bikes fall in my wake.

I went to TBE in Osborne Park, includes a decent warranty and 3 services which I thought was good. Guys fitted me for the right size frame, and got me a helmet, lights and drink bottle holder for a reasonable discounted price since I was getting a bike.

700c is the best tyre, smaller the better lol

just stay away from tubular 700c, you need a tyre that has a tube inside it... then you need glue to hold the tyre with a tube inside it to the carbon wheel, then you need a special valve extender so you can put air in the tyre with a tube in it glued to your wheel.. Hugh hassle... and you think fuck ive now spent $600 on one wheel and ive welded up the fancy cassette freewheel so you can have no brakes... but worth it! haha

I have a converted MTB (road tyres, the rest is MTB ) that I'm looking to sell cheap, looking for $300 (firm) or if anyone else wants it I may swap for a large framed road bike.

It's not even a year old, purchased March 22 from Rebel sport, I was using it for the ride to conquer cancer. Trained on it, did the ride, now no longer need it.

All alloy with shimano 24 trigger gears and disk brakes, 27.5Ē rims from memory and front adjustable forks (preload I think)

Frame is a large, Im just under 6 foot and fits me well.

I had TBE in Osborne Park put brand new road semi slick tyres (Schwalbe Marathon Plus 27.5 x 1.5) on it just before the aforementioned ride, they've done literally 200km - had new tubes and the tyres were like $170 (puncture proof). I also still have the original wide MTB tyres and tubes with lots of tread left that will go with it.

Pics as follows (note carry pouch and light under seat donít come with the sale):
